Or, if you've sold a gallery, how did you?

I ask because I've been hoarding and storing event items and game items and various other items to sell for later. I have no plans to sell now, except the occasional item removal for Quentin's weekend quests, but I've never had a gallery/hoard this big. There's 1720 as I type.

I had thought of, when or if I decide to sell, emptying out my shop and pricing them all 30% below shop search and advertising on the advertising board with giveaways to keep the thread active until most sold. But I don't know if that's such a great idea.

I sold a gallery that had a bunch of stuff - I turned it into a shop and autopriced it to start (and for as long as I could, I think I had a 1-week GA at the time). Instead of pricing 30% below I created an advertising topic & offered 30% off anything in the shop (pricing at 30% off is nice but when everyone autoprices it's no longer the lowest price?) and things sold from the shop at full price in the meantime. :)

I agree that doing it the same way as is a good idea!

I don't have so much experience in the Advertising boards, but it seems like people are generally just interested in things over 100K, and I don't have that much in the ways of items like that. That's the biggest issue i have with just making a thread, people pick through the "good stuff" if you will.

EDIT: Woo-hoo, raffle ticket!

It depends! 😕 Some things are just really hard to sell. If you find that's the case you could always do 35-40% off under 100k and 30% anything else (or even pick a few things to go 50% off on and put them in a special section to draw people in - "30-50% off my gallery")? So if people see something little they need there's more incentive to buy it along with the "good" items.

I just did all that last night! I moved everything on the gallery (same kind of items ) to my shop and autpriced. So far I've made 20mil sP along with some sellings in the boards. I am very excited because there's a sticker I really want to buy and I'll be able to afford it soon!! My gallery said 495,000,000 sP if all sold at lowest :D To be honest, with the half of that I am happy already to get all that I still need for my collection ^_^

The problem is, though, I want the money in my shop till because I'm saving up there, so while it would help me get to where I'd like to be, it wouldn't be nearly as much as yours, though I'm glad you'd be able to afford what you need if half of that sold.

But I didn't think my idea was super great anyway.

Well, in any case then just autoprice and that'll be enoug. It is a matter of patience if you want all to sell at the full. They'll eventually sell unless you have new items which price will probaby decrease. No need to discount anything. But if you feel there's no need if the worth is not much, just keep hoarding and one day you'll be able to sell it for the desired profit <3
