Is there anyone here that is participating in NaNoWriMo this year?

I will be! I didn't get very far last year but hopefully, since I have an idea already, I'll do better this time around.

I want to try it but I don't have any ideas. I'm hoping to plan during October so I can actually write during November.

I should. I have a pet to work on and no idea where to go with a story, I'm sure I could pull at least something useable out of a NaNoWriMo challenge :P
I'd like to. I'm nervous, I'm really rusty with writing and like MadmanWithABox I hope to take this month to prep, sort out my ideas, but most of all get the kinks out from not really writting (or finishing anything) in ages.
Last year I made a token effort late in the month to get some writing out, and haven't gone back to it yet. I'd like to work with something more original this year, or just... something in general but I'm so worried I won't be able to hack it, and I would like to try and nudge up my confidence and motivation just a bit before taking the plunge.
I actually floated back to the Sub forums hoping I could try and get myself to work on an RP or find a good light challenge project set or, well anything really to try and whip things up into shape ^.~
November will be upon us in no time at all. at least it'll be after my busy season (I'm a costume accessory maker so usually the first few weeks of November I'm recovering my sanity a bit and forget about anything to do with writing and then regret it and promise myself to at least try next year)
I feel like I'm probably more than a little insane for thinking of attempting it, but I think everyone going into Nano requires just a dash of insanity to WANT to try something like this. The creative kind of insanity that is :P
I want to, but I feel like my job consumes all my time and I'm not sure how I'll balance it.
I never really have any luck with Nano. Maybe I can come up with an idea before November so I am not just floundering like last year. Though I have editing for my mom's book to do also :P
I really want to. i feel like I just don't have the time, though. I chase a 3 year old around all day along with trying to finish questing...
I've had an idea for like...3-4 years of writing about Alice/an OC after they come back from Wonderland. It's not exactly a happy plot in my mind (so far) but I would adore having time to write it out.
I am, unless my headaches stop me from doing it - then I am head cheerleader for my friends who are going to participate as well! :) I've participated before, and I didn't even get close to winning, but at this time of my life I am pretty much bored to tears and really need something fun to do.
I am! I'm excited :) I've been planning for awhile!
i want to do it and i have an idea of the story i'd like to write. my only problem is that i can't develop a central conflict.
I will be! If anyone else is writing fantasy and wants to do critiques back and forth, let me know :)
I'm participating. My first year, so I'm as nervous as possible about it. I don't expect myself to win, but I hope to have fun with my friends, who's participating too. :) The story I'm writing has been planned for some years, hopefully this will be my chance to write it!
I will be! Last year my mind was blocked after a week, but this year I will try with a less planned plot.
Also my girlfriend has a present and she wo´t give it to me unless I finish the NaNo.
Absolutely! I'm even encouraging my students (Grades 7-12) to participate!

I am. I've only done camp Nano in the past so this will be my first year doing the November one. I got 30k words during camp Nano this year though. So I have high hopes. o/
“The Ephebians believed that every man should have the vote. Every five years someone was elected to be Tyrant, provided he could prove that he was honest, intelligent, sensible, and trustworthy. Immediately after he was elected, of course, it was obvious to everyone that he was a criminal madman and totally out of touch with the view of the ordinary philosopher in the street looking for a towel."
