So i'm throwing a Halloween party for my family^^ something simple yet extravagant I'm looking for any great ideas for decorations and food something i could make at home or even buy thats not terribly expensive^^

Any suggestions would be amazing!

We always did homemade decorations when I was younger so I can get you some easy and cheap ideas when I'm home from work later :)

these folks have a lot of plans for Halloween props you can make. I did the flying crank ghost one year and it was a huge hit with the kids.

Also has to have some great Halloween craft/decoration ideas too that would be good for a family party.

And probably has some spooky yet classy food/baked goods ideas he can share :)

you can buy some batting (or cheese cloth, but batting goes farther) really cheap. you pull the batting and pull it from one part to the next (using door frames and or nails to hold the batting. now you have spider webs. The dollar store normally has spider rings in a bag, one bag should totally help put spiders in your new webs:D

Now, take a cotton ball, stick a toothpick or Popsicle stick in it and hot glue. now take a tissue and put on top of the cotton ball. Tie some string around it and voila, you have a ghost. you can take a sharpie and add a face if you want...and you can hang them from the celing or stick them in food (hence the toothpicks)

Add purple food colouring in green jellow- turns it black :D cube it with some orange jello and you have Halloween colours

Awie thanks for the ping! When I was small, a friend did a halloween party. His parents filled one of those latex gloves doctors use with red juice and putted it in the freezer, then filled a bowl with more red juice, and placed the hand, now frozen and without the glove, in the middle. IT WAS SO COOL. Or, my mom uses to make tiny brooms :D For the stick, us a pretzel? Like... The... Stick like, one? :,D Aasdf If you are interested on it, I can explain it with a drawing 8,D

I came across this thread earlier but didn't have any ideas, but then I was looking through my facebook posts from last halloween and happened upon this site http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/26/healthy-halloween-breakfast_n_4157071.html and I thought it would be fitting. ^-^ I personally love the ghost-nana. But these are all cute and easy to make, I just wish they didn't take down the pictures for some of them, but maybe these could be helpful to you.

Edit: I know these are "breakfast" things, but really they could be any time of day things.

Brain cupcakes Candy apples... I can't eat apples, but I want to do something like these, ahaha

As a cool snack you can cut a hot dog in half and then cut little lines in the side. Then take scoop out the top piece so it kinda looks like a finger and stick a piece on non-cooked onion in that hole. Boil them and then you will have hot dog finger snacks!
