[spoiler] : This tag is frequently used as a heading, which can be confusing (is there something behind it or not?)... maybe make a separate [heading] tag that would function like the html tag? (For bonus points: make it style-able, so you can use something like [heading color=red] to style all heading tags so you don't have to repeat code). That, or just add a + or some other symbol to the spoiler bar to indicate when there's something behind it.
Right now if you click a spoiler with other spoilers nested inside, they'll all open at the same time, which makes a mess of the page and can be frustrating. Can nested spoilers be made to stay closed until clicked?
Lastly, can we have inline spoilers that show up on hover? Because those are so nifty. It would let you hide just a few words or a sentence without pushing them to a new line. ("Did you know that SPOILER kills Dumbledore?")
[code] : Use a monospace font (like Courier New) by default, and/or add a class name to it so we can pick our own font for it. It would help distinguish code from block quotes, and code is just so much easier to read and debug when you're using a monospace font. It would also be nice to preserve whitespace if that's at all possible.
And can there be an inline version of this tag, too? So we can use it for short CSS snippets and things like smileys ([code=inline]:fire:[/code] would just show :fire: instead of the smiley (🔥). (This would have been so helpful for this post... right now I'm using italics in the middle of sCode tags to break them so everything is readable. :P)
[ol] : We have an [li] tag for bullets, so what about [ol] for numbered lists?
[item2]: This one's more of a technical thing. Can the info (both item and item name) be put inside of a div so it can be aligned more easily? If you try to put two item2s next to each other right now, the second one will be pushed to the next line. It makes it impossible to line them up in a horizontal row, which is probably why people almost never use this tag.
I also want to draw attention to the emoji suggestion thread I made months ago when we first got emojis. That was back in March, but I'd still like to see some of those changes happen:
[topic not found]
(It's an old thread though, so don't post on it.)

Oh, inline spoilers would be particularly useful for hiding small pieces of information! The nested spoilers bug in special has always been a big pet peeve of mine, too :x
I have no idea if this is related, but there's also some sort of odd bug when you're listing usernames and items (like on the newcw topic), by using the [username=] + [item=] codes in sequence. It inserts a line break after the first username, so it never looks as nifty D:
All of these would be helpful c:
I fully support all the suggestions in the OP. Especially the ones about spoilers. It's so annoying to click on a "spoiler" only to have it actually be a heading instead. And the annoyance about nesting spoilers was already covered.
I would love to see the item2 tag get fixed up. It's so much easier to search for stuff if you can just copy the name. And it's nice to see the name without having to hover, especially when hovers are being laggy.
This isn't strictly related to scode but as long as we're talking about spoilers I figured I'd mention it. My suggestion is to have some sort of a "close spoiler" at the bottom of a spoiler, either a button or another spoiler bar or just a text link or whatever, anything. For longer ones it's annoying to have to scroll back to the top to close it. (And if you just leave them all open it pushes stuff off the bottom of the page and makes it ugly and unreadable. But that's another topic.)
🐧🐧
Yes to all of these. yes to the old thread about emojis....I still hate the new emoticons...
I'm still holding out hope that these things will happen eventually. :x

I support all of this. But I really, really want the Item2 fixed. I use it as much as I can, because I personally get annoyed that I can't cut and paste the name to make easier searching. But I often don't use it because then you end up with a great big long post full of white space.
As a pipedream, I would also love to be able to use tables in posts. Mostly for guides and such. It would make life so much simpler.
