Hi there! Just wanted to introduce myself.. my name is Laura!

I've been a long-time player of Neopets, but with recent site glitched I decided to try somewhere new. I'm loving the art here! Can't wait to learn more.

Anyone have any suggestions of a good place for a newbie to start? Collections? Achievements?

thanks for the welcome! Over at neo I was working on collecting stamps, avatars, kad feeding & trophies :)

Trophies exist, they're just sorta not used much. We normally get them for event participation or feeding minions (here).

Stamps would be Stickers here. You can't add them yourself, other users have to add them to your album. There's a few threads where you stick others and get stuck yourself - like this one.

The wardrobe is being revamped, but you can use either the current here or the new one here. You can buy clothes in the main shops, quest shops, cash shop, from other users (use Shop Search to find specific items) or more rare places like Subeautique.

When you're new you'll get achievements just for doing things, here, there, and almost everywhere. The lists are here if you want to figure out specific goals. Some of the wardrobe achievements contain items that are hard to find - but a lot of people are willing to lend and you can find boards for that if you check out the forums frequently.

You can also get your pet a job, you can train it, and you can battle. Don't worry if your pet is hungry/unhappy. They don't die. There's an achievement for feeding your pet a lot of unique food items, though... ;]

You need invites (they are given out through random events, so just browsing around should give you a few eventually).

[edit] Eh, sent you one. Click it, then redeem it and you can buy 1 item per invite! ;]
