Im working on the 40k unique items one, I really hope nothings changed with them or I'm sinking a whole lot of sP into a gallery for no reason. Let me know what ya find out, pleeeease!

For sure working on rarity hoard, I already got the 40k achievement. I just dont want to lose my hoard I use a lot of it, for recycle. I will let you know for sure what I find out.

I am at 23,831 and been slowly working at it since the achievement came out. Don't think I'll make it somehow!

I'm just over 30k unique, and I'm hoping that we get to the end of the year, at least. The last 15k is really difficult to get.

At any rate, they aren't going to delete hoards, so you don't need to worry about losing anything. They're just going to be taking away the achievement tied to it, to take away the incentive to hoard. Many people, myself included, only hoard for the achievement, and once it is no longer available, are likely to get rid of their hoards, either through selling or fragging.

Sorry just saw your reply rereading old threads. I will be keeping my hoard for recycle or fragging. Thanks so much for the info!! I feel a great relief.

- back to the dentist on 2nd Dec to have Wisdom tooth out - ouch !

I had small cavity filled. That was okay, but tool slipped and scratched inside my cheek, minor scratch. But the numbing shot caused me pain for 2-3 days, the injection site was to close to nerves around my jaw's joint. I had the left side of my jaw dislocated years ago, getting wisdom teeth pulled, darn military dentist anyway. Part my fault to I have extra roots in my back teeth on the left side, so made it real difficult. I had 4 wisdom pulled that day, and the right side of my face was very easy. Hubby just had two teeth pulled at once, about 2 weeks ago.

I am just getting started on my hoard. I probably won't make it... but I am going to try :)

I thought the unique items achievement ended at 10K, but once I found out it goes much higher I kept at it. I'm only up to 12,503. You're doing very well!! :)

If they retire that at the end of this year, well then at least I reached 10k. I could start selling some of those items, many of which are worth a lot!! :)

When I heard they might limit number of items in a shop I started dumping out some of the extras and putting them in my vault. I figured as long as I have one of each item that's all that matters now. I was getting close to 100K total and if I wanted to get one item out it was taking too much time. It's a huge time sink to remove stuff, so I only do it now and then, but I've got it down to about 70K.

Ah the wisdom teeth!! I'm not sure how rare it is, but I had 4 roots on all of mine as well. I had them removed over 30 yrs ago. I had some issues as well. I was very glad when it was all behind me!

Wow, that's impressive. If they retire those achis this year I won't make it, but it will be sort of a relief.

OK now I'm officially beyond confused. I thought you said you had 23028, and I thought that was your count of different items? NO?

This entire achievement confuses me, lol. People use different terms when they talk about it. Also, I had another account, which I lost almost 3 yrs ago, and I think they changed the names of these achievements as well as the tiers. I think I'm just going to give up!

My back is out, I'm in a lot of pain and fuzzy from the meds. I'm 59 and my short term memory is shot, and I'm really tired, as always!!

Yes thats the current amount I have toward rarity hoard achievement. I just want Leith to leave my hoard a lone. I have worked to hard to build it up. I am 52 yrs old. Oh no worries, I could hear your pain from your back. I have upper and lower back issues, too. I was injured in the military when I was in my early 20s. So I have had issues from my back and hips since 1983, I found out the hard way u cant get backed into by a 4000 lbs forklift and not have some injuries. Post to your hearts content and get those forum tickets.

What do you mean by rarity? Is that the same as hoarding different (or unique) items? I got confused because you said that I'm way ahead of you, but I only have a bit over 12,500 so if it's the same achievement then you're way ahead of me with over 23K. Do you see why I'm confused here?

I need to eat, my food is ready. I'm really sorry about your back. I injured mine when I was 15. I have a connective tissue disorder so injuries don't heal right and stuff that wouldn't be a severe injury for someone else can result in a lifetime of pain for someone with this form of my disease (hypermobility of joints as well as degenerating connective tissue that never repairs enough during sleep and gets worse as we age)

My sister has it too, it's genetic so we've both had problems since we were kids. Unfortunately my sister has never liked me and isn't much help when it comes to having someone to compare notes with, or even get empathy. She's got a LOT of support in her life and thinks that what I've been through is no big deal because she's never lived it. We're both on disability and I desperately need an in home chore worker since my husband died w/out warning almost 3 yrs ago.

The county won't approve it, but it's been two yrs since I applied, so I need to apply again, since I finally got a doc to put PTSD on my long list of diagnoses. I have a lot of stuff going on.

(the 23,029 goes toward rarity hoard achievement) so i am close to the 30,000 tier level.

My mind is a blear, a lot of typing and researching in RL. So I probably got things confused.

When my back bothers me, i sleep in a lounge chair (lazy boy) with my feet up. That might lessen a bit of the pain for you. I lost some weight, and that helped. But will always have some form of pain.

I have sister issues, too. Our problem she is of higher intelligence and superior being, I just happen not to agree, which pisses her off. So sad your sister cant or wont be more understanding. She must be a real pill like mind. I wound hound that doctor he needs to help you.

As I said, you're ahead of me, lol. You said in an earlier post that I was way ahead of you. I have 12540 and you have 23029 which is an impressive number. If they DO retire it at the end of this year I'll just be happy that I made it to 10K since I'm starting over with this acct and it's less than 2 yrs old. I think I said in a post last night, to someone that I thought it ended at 10K so if they retire it I might be relieved.

It's a compulsion, and I'm not organized about it. I should be searching out all the cheapest items first, but I do it haphazardly. When the item hunter (or any of the quest givers) asks me for an item I always do an acct search to see if I need it in there.

I had a bunch more typed here but it was off topic and probably pretty boring, I'll just send it in a comment. I don't expect a response, I'm alone all the time so I find that writing my thoughts to ppl relieves the isolation somewhat.

I stopped hoarding for 2-3 years after I got the 20k unique items achievements, but recently wanted to start again and go for the other achievements so I'm now slowly hoarding again and I'd be sad if it becomes retired, even though a part of me wants that because it's a real pain having to get every items in 2-3 copies so I can have it in my other collections too...

I love the search your acct, its really helped to know if I need to buy the item or not for my hoard. The rarity hoard has really been a chore to do. Quantity hoard was easier. So in the habit of getting an extra item for my hoard I dont mind. The recent is frag and recycle food. I'll be happy if I can just get to the 30K. Not sure how long I have been working on rarity hoard but seems like forever. I got the quantity hoard pretty early. In fact I got to 40k level and sold it off, and then I found out about the 40k achievement. I wanted to kick my own hinny.

I am like you no organization to hoarding, I just do it. I know it would be smart to consult subetalodge to help with rarity hoard, but havent made an effort to do so. For cheap junk, I go as i find them usually doing quests. I either buy the junk, then or added to Wish list so I can do it later.

I am glad that you remedy your sense of isolation by writing/typing. I was wondering where you are from?
