Well, it says on my profile that I've been around for months, but I really only popped in one day to check the site out, and then was consumed by RL and had to temporarily leave. But, I'm back, and this is my first post! :D Yay!

Like many of you, I am involved in the virtual pet site industry - in fact, I am creating my own game. I also work full time as a social media specialist for a nerdy toys and collectibles company. Previously I worked as an autopsy technician.

I love animals! I own two betta fish that I had imported from Thailand via AquaBid, and I like to spoil them rotten! I also have a handful of neon shrimp for my tanks at home and at work. The light of my life is my little (not so little anymore!) 3 month old kitten, Scarlett. (Fun fact: Her Instagram following is larger than my own!)

I am a Judy Garland fanatic. :)

But enough about me! What is your favorite breed of dog, and why? (BF and I are thinking of getting a puppy sometime soon, but cannot agree on the breed.)

Omg bettas! what kind you get crowntails? halfmoons? dumbo ears? dragon scales? kings? I use to breed them.. but that was a different me now am back on virtual pet sites!

As for dogs, I never really grew up with man best friend, I been living under a rock and my parents made sure it was a big rock lol, but I always wanted a Irish wolfhound, if not a wolf/husk breed.

Both of my bettas are halfmoons. They're my favorite type. <3 Can't say I like Kings. What kind of betta did you breed? O:

At the time I had several bettas, but I bred a female crowntail with a dragon scale. My favorite bettas were crowntails. So I was trying to get some male crowntails with dragon scale colors :P

Yes and No

Yes they bred and I had lots of babies. A lot of them did die too, but that is just part of the breeding process only like 10% of them survived.

No to my survivors, they did not turn out as I though, they just looked like regular crowntails but with a bit more color. I was kind of expecting them to be dragon scale but with the flaring crowntail fins :P

Yeah, I've heard breeding them is rough. Lucky that you got 10%, in fact! What did you do with the babies? Pet stores? Sold them? Friends?

It is, once you start you really just cant quit. When you have actually accomplished the breeding and the babys hatch you must have mirco food ready for them. I set up two different air pumps to breed my own brine shrimps. Its hard and very time consuming. I would even say that only working a part time job will allow you enough time to do this...

I gave most of them away to friends, friends of friends and relatives. I kept a couple of about a year then gave them away again when I quit my aquarium hobbies.
