Who's "User not found" and why does he always win the potion lottery?

Seriously though, it's almost fitting that the news page displays a broken feature on the 10th anniversary.

That doesn't make it any less of a disappointment for those people who tried to do something special for a friend. My heart breaks for those closest to her -- what a slap in the face. I try to tell myself that she can see all now, so she knows how much she is missed and how people tried to honor her memory. I know if she were here, she'd say it really is the thought that counts and the rest doesn't matter.

Huh? I think I'm missing something here.

Maybe the winner ISSed or got frozen before the winner was announced? Or has some weird punctuation in their name that broke the script. I know when my pet Sweetgrass Voice won the pet spotlight, the alert linked to the wrong pet because of the space in her name.

Yeah... kind of shitty that the Potion Lottery continues to break once a week when it comes to announcing an actual winner and kind of shitty that there are still only four potions being given out for the past like two years (Glade, Glacier, Common, and Blacklight.)

But yeah, I wish some sort of staff would look into the Potion Lottery a lot more often because yesterday people did put millions of millions of sP down that sink hole in order to buy tickets and more than a slap in the face because of the outcome they got from what they were trying to do, is just the fact that when users actually invest in it it seems to break the most. People paid sP, if you're not gonna give us a winner, give us a refund.

????? Am I the only one completely confused by this whole paragraph? Lately the potion lottery has been broken a lot and saying user not found. People enter friends into the potion lottery all the time and the said friend doesn't always win. It's not the end of the world?

Yesterday, if I did my math right, over 75 mil was spent on Potion Lottery tickets for a greater chance to get a user to win. And I just said 75 mil because over 180K tickets were sold and I figured at least 150K were for her. In total over 90 mil. was spent yesterday and to have nothing come of it for such a great amount spent isn't the end of the world, but it's something worth giving feedback about, imo.

Who is "her"? I'm lost. Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy a potion off the shop search than chance the potion lottery?

"Her" is , but tbh I don't see how who it is matters. Although in this case it does if you think it's to get her a potion so that she can use because that's kind of impossible. >_> People usually play the lottery for the little increase in status for a day or for the trophy/achievements, I don't think anyone does it for the actual potion win, it's just a bonus. But this has happened before and kind of been ignored by most people, but like I said, a lot of us already know the lottery has been broken for awhile as it doesn't give out the full range of potions either, this is more of just a tipping point in my case. The potion lottery is a feature that just got an increase of popularity and demand after more achievements were released for it.

Why release achievements on a feature you haven't bothered to fix in two years?

Well I'm sorry, I didn't know. Then they should fix the results and see if she won, sometimes I saw that it happens, a new news comes out and it looks like no new news but it was actually the potion lottery winner updating. If you ping a staff maybe something can be done to see the correct results today?

You didn't seem rude and there's nothing wrong with asking questions -- that's how you learn things you didn't know. Hope (Hold On Pain Ends) would be the first to encourage dialogue. I was very disappointed to see the "winner" at midnight. I kept rfing to see if it would actually award someone but I guess not.

I admit I did the same. Often, the potion lottery is used as a "gift" to birthday people - kind of a way to show everyone their cake status xD Because of this, it is upsetting to have it happen on any given day! (But it's no problem to ask why it is an important thing, so no worry guys!)

The idea of doing it for Hope's day was brought out months ago, I don't think I've ever seen the PL sell so many tickets and I did wish it had been there on the 10th anniversary day, which I guess only builds up frustration. I know she wouldn't have wanted anyone to be up in arms about that, much less to be upset, so there goes my request of "please fix that already".

Yeah it was hilariously annoying. My friends gave me tickets, and I also bought 250 more to max out the achievements. On the other hand, it was kind of funny because the BIG anticipation was so ironic xD

Since this appears to have been resolved, I am going to go ahead and lock up this thread. :)
