I was curious if anyone here played ff14 and what server? I play on gilgamesh myself. I was curious to see if there was a thread, but I didn't see one for this game ;.;

My boyfriend and I have been looking for an MMO to play together and thought about FF14, though I don't know much anything about MMOs and he's unsure about paying full price for it (Steam sales have spoiled us). Would you recommend it? It looks fun and I've always enjoyed Final Fantasy games. Do you need a lot of friends to get far in it?

I personally really enjoy it. It's not as hard core as some mmos out there, but it has harder content for those who want it. People are generally helpful on there as well and leveling Isn't as much a grind fest as some games as well. The story is pretty decent and I love the world/designs. And actually steam does put ff on sale sometimes, I think it was 15$ In steam at a few points! :>

I just started up a trial account yesterday. I'm a miqo'te Lancer on the Zalera server. Angling for Dragoon if I decide to purchase the game. Dragoons were always my favorite in the FF series, in no small part because I'm a Kain fangirl.

Granted, I'm still finding the control scheme a little awkward (My main MMO is WoW) but I'm adapting to it. I was also pleasantly surprised by how much less toxic the community seems than WoW's. Granted, I've sunk six years into WoW and with the new expansion just around the corner I doubt I will leave for good, but I'm considering playing FF14 on the side.

Yeah I picked Miqo'te as well eheh. I know a few people who came from Zelera! They moved since it's a smaller server, but I heard the people are super nice there. FF has a really nice player base honestly, I really like the people i've met on mine as well. (Dragoon later content armor is freaking amazing, I wish I liked melee classes more qq)

FF14 is def easy to learn honestly. I could personally never get into WoW >: last MMO i played/the only one I ever really enjoyed was Ragnarok Online and that was yearss ago. You should consider sticking with ff. It's really enjoyable imo

Playing on the European Moogle server right now...considering trying out Balmung with an Au Ra, which I'm pretty much freaking out about. :D

I play FFXIV it is actually one of my favorite games to play, I play on the Goblin server.
