Edit: I had malware. and an FYI Subeta.. I checked my history for the week and the past THREE days I have only been here and on Subetalodge. So one of your sites has an ad with this crap in it :(

Also if anyone else has this I suggest malwarebytes . org - found the error and removed it :)

Can you get a screenshot of the ads? If they're only on the forums, it might be user created billboards, which GA users can see too (unless you use an adblocker). Otherwise, it's most likely you have malware which is causing ads to display. Run a scan.

There is no malware or anything on my laptop that would do random things. I ran a scan when the ads appeared - after I made sure my GA hadn't expired.

These were taken at the token shop. I know the forums have the user billboards but these are real ads.

edit There are also now ads under every forum post.

Have you tried a different browser?

Some things can be missed by scanners.

Going by what I can see in your screenshot, you have adware, That "Ads by OnlineLowDeals" text by the ads points to a web browser plugin. Did you install anything recently? Or could someone else have done it?

Hopefully this guide can help you get it removed.

I have to go offline now. Good luck getting it sorted. If that doesn't help, hope someone else can advise you on how to get rid of this.

Thank you. I dont know why a scan would not pick that up :( Also the only sites I go to are here and subetalodge usually! and I havent downloaded anything in months.

surprisingly enough scans aren't always 100% sad to say..

depending on the browser go to your extensions area and see if there is anything in there you haven't installed(like if you have adblock installed) if you dont have anything under there and are familiar with everything you have installed on your laptop..Id check in your comps control panel(under the uninstall a program section)

also depending on your virus software, you might not have something that actively scans for malware/adware/spyware.

I downloaded some program my husband just told me too dl. Scanning with this too as it is a malware specific searcher thingy. I can play on the laptop but when it comes to the technical, (DL, scanning, and such) I cant do it. Hence the reason I know I have not downloaded anything :p
