As far as what I'm hoping to do with Demeter, I'd love to somehow tie her in with Artemis's story. Artemis's storyline is set in a post-apocalyptic world, where all of the technology we have now is no longer functioning. Ruins of cities are now inhabited, and the few humans left are forced to travel in groups to survive. They hunt, fish, attempt to grow their own crops, etc. Artemis has a special gift, however. She is able to sense other animals around her. This makes her a particularly good hunter. I was thinking maybe Demeter would have a special ability as well. Perhaps something that allows plants to grow more plentiful? Kind of keep in line with the mythology behind their names. I haven't quite decided whether they will be part of the same tribe, the same family, or whether I am going to have them just happen upon each other by random happenstance. It probably would be more fun for them to happen upon each other and discover that they both have these powers. Artemis up to this point has been the only one with a special "gift" in her tribe. Perhaps after their meeting, they would convince their tribes it would be more beneficial to combine forces, etc.
