Edit: Resolved, thanks.
I've started investing in my battle pet's intelligence and associated alchemy points again and I can't afford to keep chucking books at him for much longer. I've always heard that Mystic Spindles is supposed to be the go-to for helping in lieu of potions/items that raise your intelligence, but what I'm wondering about is how that works, exactly? Like how many games and at what level do you have to play to see a net gain? Does it work evenly as your pet grows smarter? I can't seem to find anywhere that explains this kind of thing, just "go play Mystic Spindles"!
If it matters, Kilroy___ is at about 760 Intel with 531 books read.
The cost of mystic spindles intelligence experience points (yes, that's what they're officially called for some reason >.<) increases as your intelligence increases. It very, very quickly becomes a completely unreasonable cost. My advice is, if you think you're ever going to start work on a new battle pet eventually, start playing mystic spindles now and accumulating points. Spend them right away starting from 0 intelligence points or you'll be wasting potential of course. I think I accumulated roughly ~40 experience points worth of intelligence exp pts, scaling from 0 to 40 intelligence, in about a month's time when I adopted my newest pet. You can get roughly 500 int. exp. points a day if you play perfect (15k sP per game) four corners 10x a day, which is easy with some practice and should take less than 10 minutes a day once you're good at it. To get a perfect 15k score, your # of moves and time in seconds must be less than or equal to 100 (if you're on a laptop I HIGHLY recommend using a mouse for it, it makes it much quicker/smoother).
Hope that wasn't confusing and helped :P.
Aw, man. I was thinking that might be the way of it so thanks for clarifying! Looks like I'm going to have to invest on boosters and more expensive books after all then.
I had tired that w/ a new pet and after hours discovered it was broken and not awarding the points like it was supposed to. It's "fixed" now though… fingers crossed Hope you all have better luck. :)
