The new Quitter achievement requires a pet to quit a highest-tier job.

My question is -- after we've quit, can a pet get rehired by the same company?

(I have a top-tier pet, but I believe it is one of the better positions to have in my stat range. I don't want to lose out on it for good.)

yes :) I had two pets with the top job at Lakeview Resort, so I quit with one of them, got the achievement, then got him re-hired straight away.

i quit and got achievement but i lose my pet income :(:(:(:(

You can always get your pet rehired, I plan to have my pet quit soon yay! Which seems weird to say.

I just ended up quitting Blinky from head of operations at get mugged to now work up the latter as a maid MO MONEY COMIN SOON lol :P

How do we know when we have reached the top tier?

when you want to ask for a promotion you will get an error and be told that it's the highest position for the job/ employer.. something like that.
