Its been a few months since I've been here and I noticed on the front page they have a bar saying the amount of cash shop purchases they needed to keep Subeta running.

@ Destin No no dear:D It just shows how many people used money on the site. It has nothing to do with how subeta runs, its just extra money for it:)
Ooooh okay o.o; I was a bit worried for a few minutes.

It was put in place to give the users an idea of how well they meet their goals each day in order to run subeta. Someone calculated that its about 40k a day to keep the site running. says that subeta is just breaking even.
That being said, I think its hit 100% about 4 times since it was put in. So who knows.

^i honestly doubt its 40k/day, maybe that much a month.
Someone was buying 50 USD and watching it go up a certain percent every purchase. It may seem like that is a bit much, but you figure theres what, 10 artists who are all probably making at least 10 an hour? thats 100 an hour, figuring the average work day is 7.5 hours that 750 a day for all of them. 3750 a week... 15k a month give or take. And thats just the artists. We have programmers, server costs, and other staff who need to get paid.
It may seem like its a bit much, but I don't think its a stretch by any means to think it may cost that.

at 40k/day youre talking about ~1.2M a month, ~14.4M a year break even.
Im not saying running the site is cheap (because im sure its not) but i think there must have been some mistake in the initial calculation. Maybe the percent didnt go up the appropriate amount or it didnt get pushed or whatever.
Also, at 40k a day. you'd have to donate way more than 50USD to see a % increase. You'd have to donate 400USD to see it go up 1%. Assuming the system rounds up and not truncate, thats at least 200USD for a 1% increase.
TBH, I can't remember what the numbers were. I just know it was discussed and now I sound like a jackass. lol/.

Maybe they meant 40k csc which is 400 dollars a day. ;O lol Even though I have no idea how much it is to hit 100% a day, I highly doubt it's 40k dollars.
I admit that I'm curious to see how much the amount required to hit 100% is, but it's always interesting to see the bar go up every day. Unfortunately, I am not in a position to be able to buy CSC from the site and support it, but I do find myself eyeing it sometimes.
If anything, I don't think that Subeta is dying, because of all the money that is going into the site right now. As of the time I'm posting this, the goal is already at 61% completion.

Whatever they say I wouldn't be surprised if I came back here only to see that the site has been erased from the internet.
This isn't too relevant for the discussion, but the numbers (according to what I heard) were 3.5% per $50 purchase! We don't get to know whether the site is attaining their monthly goal or not because there might be days in which it gets more than 100%, but yes, staff has claimed that the site is breaking even. In the foreseeable future, according to them, it's not going anywhere.
Edit: Those numbers apparently came from someone in the SB who purchased $50 multiple times while several other users watched. They weren't confirmed by any official source.
