Is this a bug?

The book gives intelligence like any book on Subeta. However when looking at the choices, you get one to read (unless your pet has already read it) or use (this for all pets whether read the book or not). If pick use and IF your pet has already read the book.. you get 0 on everything. In other words you have just wasted a 300k book? Seems like there should be something more to Shinwa's book besides "normal" OR not to have the choice of "use" on the option? Or possibly if you get nothing after reading the book, remove the "use" option?

Hence thought possibly a bug.

Just wondering, has anyone ever gotten a boost from USING the book? If not, that option should be removed.

.. that is something to think about alright! , this is not the first time I have "used" the book hence my question/concern it is a bug. Just bad luck then? As long as someone has gotten something from it.. I'll simply not use it anymore if there is a possibility of nothing and it seems to happen most of the time.

the 'read to' option gives one intel point to the pet you read it to, and can only be done once, like a regular book - and the book disappears after it is read. The 'use' option can be used on that same pet afterwards, for a chance to gain an additional intel point - like a regular intel booster. It's a book and a booster :D It's just that it has a chance to give either 0 or 1 intel point, which is not uncommon with boosters.

, possibly I will just avoid the "use" from now on then. 300k versus a small chance is not very good odds. Thanks for the clarification. This can be closed since apparently isn't a bug.
