So I'm broke and have decided that, if I somehow am magically good enough, I may start selling stories and whatnot to people. THAT BEING SAID I DON'T KNOW IF I AM GOOD. That's where you lovely people come in! Please read any of the following, tell me which one/s you read, and give me your constructive criticism on them! I thank you in advance for taking the time out of your busy day to do this. :)

Untitled poem I wrote a few years back, during my emo teeny years In a life I have known, In a valley made of stone, By the river, dark and red Nearby those that are dead.

A graveyard of memories, Where light will never touch The day that you came to me Was just a little much.

I thought of you quite often, Your eyes, your face, your smile But never would I ever think That it wouldn't be worthwhile.

I regret now those thoughts Of our lives intertwined. I still dream of the might Of our wills combined.

I’m told now to hate, And despise and curse and shun. But I know that it’s not possible Even so, they think they've won.

My heart still burns with pain At the slightest touch and sound A wave of emotions Always crashes to the ground

I speak now these words Of torment, hate, and love Please forgive me now, For everything Let me be free, Once again High above.

The beginning of an idea I had for a story. 'Get out of my way!!' There was a loud crash on the side of a nearby building, a cloud of dust and rubble obscuring what caused the commotion. It took a minute to clear, and the sight I saw amazed and kind of frightened me. There were two men there, one unconscious on the ground, another seemingly standing on some kind of black stilts. The black-stilted man glowered down at the other, who seemingly was the thing that caused the wall to crumble. 'I like my food... fresh.' He grinned, his face a foot from the others, showing off fang-like teeth. He picked up the other man with one arm, and angled his head so his neck was showing... “Jager! That is enough! Leave the man alone, you know you aren’t allowed to feed on humans!” Another man in a black suit with a matching pair of sunglasses yelled at the stilted man, whom turned to glare back at him. The glare slowly turned in a malevolent smile, fangs bared almost threateningly. “Roy, how wonderful of you to show up. You never answer my calls anymore…” He dropped the man onto the stone below, whose body made a loud thud. Jager turned towards the one he called Roy, his arms open wide in a sarcastically welcoming stance. “Have you perhaps another source of food for me then? I tire of the rotten flesh you jokingly allow me.” Roy shook his head, and pointed towards one of the many corridors in the building. “You know the cafeteria has substance for you. If you are so hungry, go there and ask the cooks, NICELY, to bring you a slab of ribs or something.” Jager’s smile faded, a look of displeasure quickly replacing it. “Cows… all you allow me is some animal that stands around and eats grass all day. I want something else, something more. Hell, I’ll even settle for dead humans. They all go to waste anyways, buried in their wooden boxes under the dirt.” Roy sighed, obviously having had heard this many times before. “You know the rules. No human, under any circumstance. Got it?” Jager snarled at him, and walked off on his stilts, his arms crossed across his chest. I watched him walk away, and when he turned down the before mentioned corridor, I ran up to the man called Roy. “Excuse me sir… but what was that thing?” He looked at me, then took off his sunglasses. “THAT was a vampeth. A very angry and hungry vampeth. Then again…. I don’t remember the last time any vampeth was happy-go-lucky…” I looked at him, obviously confused. He held out his hand, awaiting mine in return. For a moment I looked at it stupidly, then hurriedly grabbed it and shook it. “The name is Roy, but most people know me as R. I specialize in keeping things like THAT under control. In other words, I’m their babysitter. Who might you be?” My mind still swimming, I answered him quietly. He raised an eyebrow at me, which snapped me back to that moment. “Oh sorry, I’m Jett. I was supposed to go somewhere to start working here?…” His face suddenly brightened, and he shook my hand with gusto. “Ah, Jett! The new recruit I was expecting! Well, welcome to the DCC, and get used to seeing things like him everyday. Come, I will show you to my office. You will begin working immediately. How good are you with a computer?” I blinked at him, then asked the one question that stuck in my head. “What’s the DCC?” “The Demonic Capture and Control. Like the name says, we capture and keep under control any and all demons that enter Earth. You and I though, will be working with vampeths. It’s a rather interesting line of work… but for now, I think I’ll have you stick to paperwork until you are better prepared for the real world.” Startled, I exclaimed loud enough for those around us to look our way. “Demons?! You mean the kind that take over human bodies and take them to Hell and such?!” He looked around, an expression of embarrassment on his face. He shushed me, then spoke to the crowd. “Sorry everyone, he’s new. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. All he thinks he knows are those myths in the Bible and such.” He then laughed, and the crowd went on with their business. Roy turned back to me, a fierce look in his eye. “Not now, recruit. Save those kinds of questions for when we are alone. Asking the wrong questions around the wrong people here tends to get you hurt or killed.” He looked down towards the still unconscious man, who was surrounded by what seemed to be medics in similar garb as Roy’s. He sighed and shook his head, replacing his sunglasses over his bronze eyes. “This man was simply in the way of Jager. He’ll be retired and sent home with a handsome check, if he survived.” I looked at him and shuddered. What was I getting in to?
An emissary of the Aspect of Life, Saluna has proven her worth as an ally in the great Green's eyes. Having had completed a very difficult task asked by her from Ysera herself, Saluna was granted a Icebound Frostbrood Vanquisher.

This frozen dragon's name is Kasha. Formerly an unwilling servant of the Lich King and Sindragosa, Kasha recalled the memory of life and warmth, and went to her old Queen despite the dangers doing such possessed. After putting her life into Ysera's guardians' hands, she was bound and escorted to the great green's image. Ysera laid unopened eyes on Kasha, and remembered the dragon back when she was but a hatchling that slept under the great Green‘s wing.
“I know you, Viridia of the Green Flight. You are brave, though foolish, to venture to our sacred temple, being one of the frozen servants of Sindragosa.”
Kasha bowed her head in respect and reverence of the Green Broodmother. “I know... but after remembering the life and love I knew so well when I was alive, I could no longer serve the Lich King and the Frost Queen. The way I saw it, I had but one of two choice: Put an end to my own unlife, or come here to ask redemption. I chose the latter, because my death would not serve those who wish an end to the Lich King, my queen.”
Ysera smiled at her, and a warmth she had not known in a long time washed over her. “ If you so choose to seek redemption, then perhaps I know of one way I can help. An emissary of mine, Saluna Wyntersong, has recently contacted me through the Dream. She is about to return successful after slaying many of the armies of the Lich King single-handedly. If it is truly redemption you wish, then you will serve her as a faithful mount and companion, and will protect her with your unlife, for as long as Arthas yet lives.’
Kasha’s eyes opened wide, startled at what Ysera would have her become. “But… a mount? A beast of burden only? Surely there must be another way, my q-”
“It is this way, or your demise. She is a kind Night Elf huntress, and takes very good care of her companions and pets. I am sure, in time, you will learn to call her ‘friend’, and she likewise.”

Kasha gritted her teeth, but nodded in defeat. “Very well. I will serve as her mount, for as long as you say. This I swear, upon whatever it is you wish me to swear upon.” The despise in her voice worried Ysera slightly for the Night Elf’s sake. “One more thing, Viridia…” Kasha raises an eyescale at the Aspect of Life, worried that perhaps she had sounded angry or harsh. “Yes, my queen?” Ysera’s eyes, though closed, held the Frost dragon in their gaze. “If you ever betray her, I am sure you know of the consequences. Life always prevails over death. After being a child of both, you should know this to be true.” Kasha nodded, almost scared that Ysera felt she had to tell her that. “There is no need to tell me, Great One. I will not betray the Night Elf. I will fight by her side, carry her swiftly to her destinations, and even watch over her grave if need be. This is my path to redemption, and I accept it.” Ysera’s form softened, apparently happy with the reply. “It is done then. You may no longer be of the Green Flight, but remember, I do love all my children, even the ones that have left us and returned.” Kasha shuffled uncomfortably, and spoke up, asking the Aspect for something that seemed almost impossible and childish. “Ysera… I have but one favor to ask of you, if you will…” Ysera’s left eyescales lifted quizzically. “Ask what you wish, Viridia, then I will answer you with my will.” Kasha’s tail lashed, much was her discomfort of she was about to ask. She breathed in deeply, then spoke, almost over loud. “Perhaps, for one last time, I could know the warm touch and love of my mother? That I may know more than the cold bitterness of undeath for the years to come.” Ysera placed a claw to her chin, thoughtful. “An odd request… and a bit difficult, as my touch would pain you greatly. Let us remove her binds, my wardens, and place upon her life’s protection, so that she can have what she wishes.” The emerald skytalons, who served forever as her shrine’s protectors, removed the enchanted ivy that bound Kasha’s wings. They then circled the frost dragon, a shimmering, transparent-green bubble slowly enveloping her. The bubble shrank, smaller and smaller, until it merged with the frost dragon, giving her the protection needed to be able to survive Ysera’s touch. After the guardians finished with their protective enchantment, Kasha slowly walked over to her old brood mother, feeling small and scared. Ysera smiled at her, and lifted a great wing up, allowing her frozen daughter under it. Kasha lowered her head, so as not to scratch the titan, and laid her head down against her warm body. Her eyes closed, and she sighs, a feeling of great comfort washing over her. Together, the dragons hummed loudly, a note of love and happiness in the dire cold. -An hour later-

Saluna urged her Hippogryph onward, wanting to feel again the heat of life of the Green Dragonshrine again. Ysera had made mention of a gift for her, and, even though being one to never require reward, she wondered exactly what gift it was that Ysera would grant her. Surely from one of the Aspects, it would be something very grand indeed.
As her hippogryph, Lodren, landed on the fertile grass that blanketed the shrine, Saluna immediately noticed something was off. Though Ysera laid there as she normally did, she also saw one of the Frost brood ‘neath her wing. How had it made it’s way past the guards, alive of all things?! She stooped down to pick up a small acorn, and impaled it on an arrowhead. She cocked her bow with the arrow, the tiny seed on it ready to burst with the power that life had over undeath. She spoke loudly, but without the authority she usually held over the other races.
“Great Ysera, surely nothing wrong has happened since last we spoke? Why is that child of Sindragosa here, and alive still at that?”
Ysera lifted up her head, and looked towards the Night Elf with ever-closed eyes. She smiled calmly at her, as the Frostbrood dragon did the same. Her voice came out like the songs of a thousand birds, and her breath was warm as a summer breeze.
“Saluna Wyntersong, do not fear, for Sindragosa no longer holds claim over this one. She has found her own will again, and wishes to serve those that want the Lich King dead. In fact, she is your reward: A mount, reborn by the servants of undeath, to be used for the messengers of life.”
Saluna stared for a moment, dumbstruck, then cautiously loosened her bow’s string, and placed it and the arrow back in her quiver. She walked towards the skeletal dragon, now removing itself from Ysera’s side, and looked up at it. It had been fitted already with a saddle and reins, and looked back down at Saluna, sizing her up the same as Saluna was doing. This Night Elf is so small and looks so weak… How can Ysera possibly say she has slain armies of the Scourge?
“Hello, Night Elf. Ysera speaks greatly of you, and I look forward to our future adventures together that we will surely have. I am known as Kasha, a Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher formerly of Sindragosa’s flight. I no longer serve the Lich King, and wish to see him brought to an end as much as you do.”
Saluna stood up straight, and nodded. “Kasha, it will be an honor to fight the Scourge armies by your side, and more if we both survive long enough to defeat the Lich King. Forgive me if I seem rude but… what has brought you to your senses?”
Kasha looked to Ysera, who nodded back at her. Her gaze returned to the Night Elf in front of her, and calmly she answered. “If we are to work together, then you have a right to know that I used to be one of Ysera’s children. Long was the time I slept peacefully, until the Lich King tore me from the comforts of death and had me reanimated for his purposes. It was only recently, upon fighting a druid of your race, that I remembered what I used to be. I came here to seek redemption, and thus I was placed in your stead.”
Saluna nodded, and then turned to her Hippogryph, the beast’s feathers ruffled in front of the possible threat. She spoke calmly to it, and petted him lovingly. “Lodren, we have been through much, but this is a reward I cannot refuse. I appreciate everything you have ever done for me, and now retire you from my service. Your own reward has long been overdue, after all.” Lodren squawked in protest, but simmered down at the look Saluna gave him. He pecked affectionately at her shoulder, and she hugged him in turn. “Fly back to the Cenarion Hold, and tell them what has happened. And be sure to teach those hatchlings of yours how to become as strong and as wonderful as you.” The hippogryph cawed again, then took off on it’s blue and green wings, not once looking back.
Saluna’s eyes followed her former mount until he was out of sight, sadness obvious in them. She then turned around again to face her new companion, a look of determination blotting out the sorrow in her eyes. “Very well. Kasha, let us go, then, and bring the hordes of the Scourge to rest.” Kasha lay down, so that the Night Elf could climb onto her back, and lifted steadily into the air. Saluna pulled easily on the reins to turn her around. “Ysera, I thank you for your reward. I will be sure to take care of Kasha, as I would any of your great flight. If that is all, then I beg your pardon.”
Ysera nodded to Saluna, and watched as the pair flew off into the cold skies of Northrend.
If Viridia disowned her bonds so easily, then perhaps more will follow. And with more like those two, the Lich King will surely meet his end soon enough.
"The beginning of an idea I had for a story."

It's a fantastic start. You definitely have potential. You're going to need more imagery than that, though. Describe Roy's outfit more, as well as Jager's. It's pretty clear that Jett was watching, but the only way the reader knows that is "I heard a loud crash on the side of a nearby building..." Where exactly was the character through all of this? Did he hide, was he in plain sight...? I imagined the story took place in a city, but it wasn't very clear. The story line is good so far, and your grammar is remarkable. Just one little thing at the end; "What was I getting myself in to?" "In to" should be one word- "into."

I would have read your other two pieces, but unfortunately I'm horrible with poetry and have never played World of Warcraft.

That being said, keep up the good work, and the best of luck to you! :)

"Just like an 'I love you!' that isn't words, like a song he wrote, that's never heard."
