. It's still happening. I just did Shinwa. I had the 5th piece and went back to her, but she sent me to Pete. I thought maybe I hadn't seen the right number, so went ahead and did his quest. He asked for 2 items, which I took out of my vault. When I clicked to finish the quest, I got an sql error. I went back to Pete and it said I didn't have the items and they weren't in my inventory. I went back to the vault and both items had 1 less than before, so the sql must have eaten them (no biggie). Went back to Pete and finished the quest, but there was no Link to Shinwa. I then went directly to Shinwa and she did complete the quest for me and gave me my prizes.

I got this as well except my items did not get eaten and I was able to finish the quest. I got the SQL error though and there wasn't a link to the Shinwa page. I also had Pete as the 6th quest.

i got this as well just now. pete was the phantom quest.

Seems like this happened to me; I don't know if I did a 6th quest or not (or who it was), but I noticed I didn't have her reward in my inventory (or a bracelet piece) so I went back to her page and she just gave me a Gold Helmet (not that is much of a prize anyways but eh)

I can't say or not if Pete was the "phantom" quest for me or if I got a sql error, though.

This just happened to me for the first time ever, but Shinwa rewarded me when I came without the non-existant Piece she had asked for.

I got this after handing in Shard : Yay You've brought me the piece I wanted! Now, I need the next piece. I hear that The Wizard has it! Maybe you should go check out that quest and see what you can find!

Then returning to Shinwa's page again (without doing anything else): YES! You've managed to find all the pieces to my bracelet! To thank you for this, I am giving you one of my very special items! That was weird, but Shinwa didn't ask for Shard at least.

Same thing happened to me, with Pete.

I had a book get eaten by the Sql before I was able to finish the "6th shard" part of Shinwa's quest. Threw the second book at Alexander and went back to Shinwa, and finished her. It was only 2k wasted, but still. What a pain.

Just got the same thing. Sent to the Wizard for piece 6, but was able to bypass it by refreshing Shinwa's page.

Same here. Had the exact same experience as the OP, but in my case it was the wizard.

I got the 5th piece from the wizard, clicked on the 'return to shinwa' link, and she forwarded me to the library for another piece. I just clicked back, hit the 'return to shinwa' link again, and then I got my price correctly.

This has happened to me twice. The first time I failed to find 'piece 6' but today apparently I did.

Happened to me for the first time today. Same as opening post but like someone else I managed to complete the quest and still get my reward from shinwa (after the sql error and buying the item a 2nd time).

Just wanted to post that this happened to me today. Less than 5 mins ago. It was the wizard and my item did get eaten and had to purchase it again and hand it in again. It was less than 1k so no big deal but, just explaining what happened.

Same thing happened to me today (for the first time ever -but I didn't do her quest yesterday). Sent me to the Library, and ate my book. Next time, if it happens again, I will just try refreshing.

Just wanted to say that Shinwa also asked me for a 6th piece and sent me to Pete but I went back without doing any more quests and got shinwas orb.
