I think so, if you add another layer of shading or two, it could be really popular (like cell shading on top of the soft)

Why don't you start with some small limited freebies and carry over the interest garnered into a shop? It's just a suggestion but I found a lovely pet button artist that way and I think it makes sense for how much you'd like to draw. Good luck!
