Hey guys!

A few words of warning. 1) I am not a good artist. XD 2) I haven't had any success drawing CIs but... 3) ...I still want to draw CWs. XD

I am trying some basic CWs and wigs to get better at things, and I would be very happy to draw for people. If it's very very complex or has sheer layering, I may not be able to do it at all for the time being, but I will let you know!

The caveat is that my items may not get good enough to go up on site. I'm happy to try and keep trying, but it's possible things will just not fall in my favor and my skills will be far too mediocre. I am also going to be busy very soon and recovering from wrist surgery, so it might slow down the queue!

If you're interested in having me do overlays for you, ping me and post below. I'm happy for you to have the overlays or if you're interested in having me sell them/split profits etc., I'm happy to do so! If I sell them I'll commission a CI. If you "buy" (for free, haha) the overlay then the CI is on you or I can try miserably (and likely fail) to draw one... but it'd be good practice, right. :)

Artists -- if you're willing to provide feedback on these PLEASE let me know! I'd super appreciate it. ^^

- This ping never went through this morning apparently. ^^

- Challenge accepted! hahaha. This will be fun even if it takes until the end of time.

Also, here are the wigs I worked on the last couple of days. I finally got slightly better at shading, but any help is so appreciated. I know they're pretty abhorrent, but I like the lineart and shapes okay, I think.

Hi ^^ If you wanna try your hand at drawing CWs you might wanna take a look at the TUTORIAL made, it's very helpful and it gives you a rough idea of what you need to practice. My first advice for you is to start with simpler designs, the first wig is way too complicated for a beginner in my opinion, the second one is better but still a bit difficult , you might wanna try some plain style like a basic bob , something like this: or It might be useful for you to try and replicate those wigs , just as an exercise so you can compare your results to the actual on site item and see where you need to improve. As for your wigs, the lineart on boths looks way too shaky, if you're using a mouse you should try the photoshop pen tool instead or something similar (I've heard that SAI is very good for line arts) and try to reproduce Bean's tecnique. As for the shading, first of all you need to use different layers for every shade, in case you're not doing it already, and then you need to understand that in shading light is everything: you need to understand where the light comes from and how it affects your item. For instance , if you decide that the light should come from the up left corner (your left) then the wig should reflect this by having darker shades on the right side (again, your right) and more highlights on the left side. If you just put random highlights not taking the light into consideration your shading will look flat and it will have a sticky effect. Check out THIS TUTORIAL about basic pencil shading, I know it's traditional art but the concept is the same: understand where your light source is and how it affects the item you're drawing. To get an idea of what shade you should look for try putting yourself in front of a mirror and use a lamp to light your hair from different angles and try to learn how they change as you move the lamp around. Also, if you're going for one basic color, one dark shade and two higlights try to remember that darker shade will be larger than the highlights and you can't just put random lines of different colors, that will not look like actual shading. Check out THIS TUTORIAL made to get an idea of what any lawyer of shading should look like. I hope this helps =)

Would you be interested in doing a collaboration with me? I have a few items onsite but wigs are still a bit out of my artist range. If a wig is too difficult (as lia mentioned, I have a few other things in mind). Splitting profits would be fine.

OR! I have a few finished items that need a bit of touching up before they can go out. If you want to help me out, we can work out something :) Comment me and I will send you the links ^^
