Hey Art Buyers and Sellers. I am thinking about doing art auctions and possibly (though less likely) opening an art shop on Subeta.
My problem is that I don't know what my art should sell for - minimum amounts at least. As an artist, I tend to obviously assume my art is worth less than what others do. So, have any suggestions for prices in SP, CSC?
I would love Real-World currency values too - I do want to do commissions for money. As to whether that is on Subeta or not, well I don't even know if they still allow RL currency commissions. PS: USA dollar value, please?
I plan to do both Digital and Traditional commissions / auctions and my process for how I handle them differs.
I apologize to lots of dA links - but I don't really put my art anywhere else, except maybe facebook.
Moved this to Pricing Assistance & Suggestions. :)
I..am awful at pricing. Maybe I know people who know better than me.
you get a lot of art, you have any ideas? ^^;
Oh gosh, I do buy a lot, but kind of suck with pricing. I tend to just offer artists 6mil on chibis, 10-15mil on full color full bodies. I wish I could be more help D:
These wont be perfect pricing but hopefully I'll he helpful to put a guideline for ya'
Sketches probably vary around 1-4m depending on bust-fullbody ect. Linearts i'd say more 5-10m From what I see people are more interested in colored pieces, even flat colors. It really depends on what you're offering, too. And which ones take you longer. For flat or colored pieces i'd say 8-15m. You could start lower or higher than work up if you find your art sells overly well for the prices you set. It may even be more, I'm just going off others I've seen. Your stuff is really nice, though!
For USD/CSC/SP differences. If you'll be accepting USD you can probably higher the prices a bit from what I have. 1$=100CSC=3m for most now.
I hope that's helpful!
