I'm not sure why this is happening, but as of this morning the little icons for pinging/reporting/etc. are not showing up correctly for me among other things:

and also on the pets.php page, though this was happening on it before.

None of the little icons are loading they only show up like that and I'm not sure if it's my computer or the browser or what. If there is anything that can be done about this I'd love to know. I guess it must be my computer or the browser or something.

I'm using Firefox version 30 on Windows 8.1

Try doing a hard refresh. If that doesn't work, clear your browser's cookies and cache.

I tried both and unfortunately things are still showing up like that for me.

Have you tested it on another browser?

I wonder if it's because you need to update to FF 31.

That could be it, I guess I could try it.

This is the same as the problem reported here: [topic not found]

I tried finding ways to get those icons to display on my end, and nothing worked. What I did learn is that Firefox doesn't support cross-domain fonts, which I think is what Subeta is using for these icons. So a Firefox update won't help, unless they finally decide to start supporting cross-domain fonts. :(

Bug report on Mozilla's site. More info, and details for a workaround (this would have to be implemented by Subeta. Nothing that helps users).

That didn't seem to fix it either. The only other browser I have is IE and I don't even want to try using that with Subeta since I know they don't get along.

Okay, that actually makes sense. I'm glad, sort of, that I'm not the only one experiencing this.

IE doesn't support cross-domain fonts either, so if that is the cause of this, switching to IE won't help.

Chrome supports them though. I believe Safari does too.

That's what I figured with IE.

Oddly enough one of my friends is using Firefox for Subeta as well and everything is showing up fine for them.

Some people in the thread I linked to have said it works for them too. I'm not sure why they can see it, when others can't. :/

I tried seeing if there was an addon or something that might help, but no luck. :( The only fix I could find has to be implemented by the site.

It's weird that it works for some and not others, hopefully something can be done because with all the little icons being broken it makes everything look really really bad.

Thanks for letting me know about why they're broken though, that does make me feel a bit better.

For some reason I thought the first issue you were referring to (thought there were two) was about Keith's post and the background being dark. XD

I'm sorry! As mentioned, the other issue is being experienced by other players.

Oh oops I probably should've been more specific that's just my custom css. XD

It's alright, at least you did try to help as much as you could. Thank you for that!

I'm experiencing this issue while using Firefox 31 as well. I posted about it earlier today over in the Broken Images thread, and I'm glad to see that it's not an isolated incident.

We actually can't fix this on our end - we use a CDN from google to load our icon fonts - they've got to set the variable. :(

OHMIGOSH THANK YOU! That info helped me find a solution!

It turns out NoScript blocks -face. I've changed the settings in NoScript, and ALL the broken icons are fixed! ❤

Solution here.

Are you using NoScript?

That's great! :D Glad it helped! :)

This explains why some Firefox users were able to see the icons then. Those people probably don't use NoScript. Or they changed the setting, and forgot that was an option.

Yeah it really can! xD I love the addon though. :) It's the first thing I check when anything isn't working on a site, but I had nothing blocked in the normal menu and no reason to believe NoScript was behind this, until mentioned using a CDN from Google.

Glad to see this seems to be helping everyone see those icons again! :)
