Escaped Darkmatter Experiment DNA

Changes from the original

1. Skin is gray instead of white
2. Tail and chest are black instead of light purple
3. Tail tapers instead of "blobs"
4. Ears are spiked instead of flat-topped
5. There are two "tubes" at the back of the neck (although in the first placement, you wouldn't notice)
6. Chest is the same color as the tail, rather than the same color as the skin
7. Feet have three toes instead of two
8. "Stomach marking thing" is smaller
9. Slightly elongated "snout"
10. Given a darkmatter twist!

Whew. 10 changes. Should be no problem. I'm just having major issues with the placement. :C Behind the HA? In front of the HA? It doesn't help that I wanted to portray Mewtwo's size, which is... quite tall. XD

Any other critiques are 100% welcome, and I'm open for suggestions! Just keep in mind that I haven't shaded yet~

I know everyone groans at the sight of another pokemon tribute. XD; But I'm a huge fan and I haven't done one yet! I want to make my mark in the pokemon tribute community. ❤ I'm also considering adding to the already large number of Mew tributes, as well as doing a pokemon inspired wearable. :c I'll take suggestions for the wearable, though! I'd like to do something a little more original than a hoode, but what else does that leave me with? XD

I love the black and grey for Mewtwo, but do you think the pink ruins it? I don't want people to turn away because it's not versatile enough. :c [edit]

I think the bottom picture would be the most versatile. That can be used with Vanishing Cream, or it can still be used with the avatar. The middle two are facing the edge, so there's not much room to put something in the avatar for it to focus on or interact with.

I like the first one, where he's lurking behind you XD

Also, what about making it Darkmatter? Mewtwo's personality kinda reminds me of Maleria XD

I prefer the last one the most, but I don't know if he'd need to be adapted more because my original Alphonse had a similar level of change and I think they may have a similar issue with this too. D:

I greatly prefer the last one over the other options--complete images instead of ones with cutouts are more fun to use with vanishing cream and the middle two just seem to take up too much space on the screen as Dryad said so there's not a lot of room to put anything else in. :)

Oh, I'd be definitely interested, if it turns out pretty. As pretty as the last one, because it would be good with Vanishing Cream and also with HA, because the wearable wouldn't cover most of it. :) And I also do love the tail on this one. :D

For the color scheme, why not trying Darkmatter or Glacier as style? :o Both would fit the Pokemon itself, especially Darkmatter. :D

Yeah, you're definitely right! Originally, I just had the first three, but then I was like "...wait, if I move his tail, I'll have more room". I knew, once I saw the resulting image, that would probably be the best option. XD

I actually considered Darkmatter before, but I didn't think people would like it much! But I decided to try it out anyways and I just loved the colors. Black and Grey are so versatile! pokes bottom of this post

Dark Matter isn't my favorite color, but I think it works pretty well for mewtwo. The purple-pinkish suits the Psychic type, after all.

I could see about removing the darkest pink layer, so that it's just black/grey mewtwo, blobs, and a really faint, semi-transparent pink. It'll be slightly less darkmatter-y, but do you think it would affect the judging?

The first one, though minus the matter in front of his forehead and maybe move the one to the left of his tail closer to him. It looks quite nice in Darkmatter :)

Adding a subeta colour does always seem to help. :3

If they still have an issue (Not now though! I love him Dark Matter 8D) you could always make him scaly, or give him a fox tail or something to relate him to an animal other than a Pokemon.

Shaded! Thoughts?

it looks really nice shaded :) Though I think maybe its eyes need a bit of colour? a Light purple like Darkmatter Kora?

The eyes were actually a really light pink, but I guess that got fudged with the resize. XD I'll definitely add a more noticeable color!

And I do think the white colored eyes are perfect. Purple colored would be too much. :)

Dangit, I will need to get some csc if this goes through. I also think the eyes look fine the way they are now.
