I'm hoping someone out there in Subeta will be able to help me out with cosplay. I'm having a hard time try to figure out what I am going to cosplay this year. This is my first time cosplaying and my first time making a costume, so, please suggest some character that has a simple outfit. And yes, I am willing to crossplay and or wear a wig. <3

Go with some of the anime that has mostly normal clothes like Pokemon or Deathnote. Also, dressing up in any type of school girl uniform, neko, or lolita would be easy and is quite popular at cons.

Lolita is not easy. There are specific rules/guidlines that follow the fashion, and if you don't use them, you'll look like a fool.

I would suggest searching for an anime /manga that's based in modern times, along with having the main characters in 'civillian/modern' clothes often.That makes it so much easier to pick a character to cosplay as if you don't have to look at their outfits and think 'Okay...am I going to need plastic? Oh what about a wig? Oh and that visor! That'll be hard to make but she never takes it off so I gotta have it...'
