So. Ace Attorney. Amazing series, and one that I know has some fans on Subeta! :D

Anyone play these games? Have any favorite cases and/or characters in particular?

My favorite case is probably 2-4/"Reunion, and Turnabout" (3-5 is fantastic, too, but I went into it spoiled so it didn't have as great an impact on me). My favorite character can vary between cases, but Nick and Trucy are definitely high on my list.

I liked the game from the get-go myself (big fan of its style of humor!), but yeah, it didn't get interesting until then. And then there was 1-4, which I'm fairly sure blew my mind several times. Not quite as much as 2-4, which I had to quit playing at one point simply to process what happened, but. x) It still blew my mind!

Ah, you mean "Farewell, My Turnabout"? The case with Matt Engarde and all? That's my favorite case in the series. I'd say "so far," because I haven't finished playing Apollo Justice (though unfortunately I do have the identity of all the killers spoilered for me, as well as the thing about Apollo and Trucy), but... no case has gotten to me quite like that one, haha, and I'm not sure any will. I just love the characters (I am so, so ridiculously attached to Engarde; I completely adored him.

Nick is a pretty great protagonist; I really like his snarky thoughts and he's a pretty great guy for the most part. Not a big fan of his Apollo Justice-self, but I do enjoy him in the first three games, and I'm curious about playing as him again in AA5. I love Trucy too.

Ahh yes! The upcoming games~ I'm so excited for Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney. ;; I really love both series. Actually, that game is a part of why I got into Ace Attorney (I'm a pretty new fan -- been playing for about nine months). Really hoping it gets localized!

I really hope PLvsAA gets localized, too. After Capcom decided not to bring AAI2 over, I've been worried about all the future games. But Level-5 has control over what happens to the crossover, and AA5 has already been confirmed for localization, so I'm trying not to worry too much.

The original AA game was the soul reason I ran out and bought a DS back in the day. I never played Apollo Justice, just couldn't.. I heard it was a great game, I just didn't like what they did to Phoenix so I never played. Probably won't play new newest one coming out since it's set after AJ. But seriously looking forward to the Professor Layton crossover!

Another thing about the AA series which hasn't had a mention here is the music. It has just the perfect soundtrack, especially for the courtroom scenes for the objection and turnaround themes.

Yesssss! The psyche lock theme is my favourite Phoenix Wright music. I always just leave the game running with it on in the background. :P

Anyone else excited about Dual Destinies being released next month? :D Cannot wait! Being so spoilt with all these Q4 releases, so hard to keep up!

Also, Dual Destinies has now been released! I totally forgot, actually, until I read about it elsewhere. :o And promptly went to download it. I didn't get a chance to play as I had to meet up with a friend, but just got home so am going to settle down for the night and engage in the game. :D Can't wait. There's also some free DLC (outfits) it appears. :) So don't forget to check!

Pretty sure it's only on the estore. It's not getting a physical release, I'm sure. I've already played and completed it. It's definitely a worthy entry in the series, more memorable than Apollo Justice imo (which I didn't hate! ... well except the third case and the bloody Guitar's Serenade). The models look absolutely fantastic, the game has transitioned to the 3DS beautifully. Athena really fits in and Apollo finds more footing here with a well-anchored storyline. There are also some fantastic twists in the latter half of the game; some of the best in the series. I'd love to say more but don't want to ruin it for anyone!

Ah, really? I've not actually used my 3ds all that much recently, I'll do some digging. It's sure sounding awesome though, now to finish this new one and wait for that Layton Vs Wright game to make it over here as well!
