I'm just that stereotypical new user who tried to do research but can barely scratch the surface. I literally feel as if I'm blind in this great big world. I feel like a five year old in a shopping mall with so many awesome things I'm scared to touch because I have no idea if that's okay. XD

Anywho, I was once upon a time, eons ago when I was but a youngling, a Neouser. However, I don't remember much, as that was when I was around I dunno, six? My friend, Feferi, on here, found this lovely site yesterday. I'm quite happy that she did, as she was a hardcore Neo and was always bugging me about being on there. I could never go because I was intimidated by all the everything. The society there was awful. The choking rules would've killed me.

I love this site though. I've only barely been here for a day and Oh my. I would like to go ahead and apologize for my life story, as I am quite shy when it comes to being new anywhere. I may not even come to the forums again, so yeah.

I've already been around and seen some of the Neo refugees comparing Subeta to the other. I'm very happy that Fef and I are not alone in our transition of sites. I have some questions though and compliments, as I'll list below:

Compliments:

1. I love how "vulgar" language can be used here.
2. The freedom of this site is phenomenal.
3. The fact that you can take names from inactive users is absolutely a plus. A great way to encourage activity and prevent name envy.
4. Loving the customization on everything, especially the Human Avatars, even though I haven't gotten around to any of that.
5. The art here is oh goodness, I just can't.
6. Everyone's so mature. You all seem very nice from what I've seen.
7. I just love the pet colors. ♥
8. Way too much to list... What was I thinking? XD Anywho, how about we just say EVERYTHING?

Questions:

1. Is there anything like "unconverted", "name envy", and pet trading?
2. Anyway could I put my gluttonous pets in a hotel or something? If I did, would they still work and allow me to claim their income?
3. I heard that you could change your pet's picture? Is that possible? If so, will it show everywhere?

That's a lot of writing, I'm not sure if you really are so shy haha, let's try answer some of your questions:

1. Is there anything like "unconverted", "name envy", and pet trading? There is no such thing as a UC here, if art is updated, usually there is a poll to make sure majority of users like it, and then everyone is converted. There are certainly more desirable pet names, RW, RN, etc. and and some users also seek after low or special patterened pet ID (each pet is assigned an ID, in addition to their names, since you can change pet names with CSC)
2. Anyway could I put my gluttonous pets in a hotel or something? If I did, would they still work and allow me to claim their income? Yes, in Explore - Veta Lake, right by the water's edge on the map is the lodge - you will still be able to play the site per normal, except feed your pet. There is also no withdraw from lodge option, as a heads up :)
3. I heard that you could change your pet's picture? Is that possible? If so, will it show everywhere? Yes it's possible, via code. Basically it is just (with some rules in mind) you may 'overlay' your pet art on your pet profile. It will not show everywhere on the site, only the pet profile.
4. Any hotspots I should check out? Here's a guide: Little pet brag Wizard Quests (Explore - Sacred Lands) and Matalal's Jewels (Subeta - Games) tend to be popular sP makers when you start out, it's simple and the tokens from wizard quests are very easy to sell
5. Why is this place so awesome? Cos I'm here ^_~ Mostly the community is smaller, and we have a strict one-account per person rule, so people who are serious about playing look after their account and play the game respectfully :) If you ever come across any issues, the staff here are very prompt with replying tickets (something that takes some getting used to for many users from Neopets :P)
6. Can I love you all forever? Ok ^__^ Welcome to the fam! :D

To your question about "name envy" that can indeed happen (especially if you get hold of a popular name that many people wanted) but I don't think that it's as bad here as it was on Neopets where people kept pestering me about my Krawk and Draik claiming I should give them away because I could for sure save up for another one, lol. As if. And now I cannot even remember what color they had and how they looked like anyways, it's so long ago. X'D

Not quite sure if I have any pets worthy of showing off, as I'm currently working towards getting enough sP for some potions that have caught my eye. v uv Only reason I have five is because I got a bit excited at all the wonderful species. XD

Names mean a lot to me as well, as they are some of the most interesting parts of characters and, in this case, virtual pets. I enjoy this site very much, though the quests are throwing me off the edge sometimes. XD I understand you should just turn down high priced ones, but come on, the temptation. XD

Hello! Welcome to Subeta! I'm new here as well, but had always kind of sort of stalked the site every once and a while before joining (two days ago). I also used to be on neopets for the longest time, but quit several years ago mainly because the group of people who I talked to migrated from neopets to pro boards. That, and it became a virtual "1984."

But anyways, how do you like it here so far? Anything you especially love? :)

I guess most of it has been answered, but nope no pet trading, no unconverted pets (old art gets recvamped and we deal with it because it was outdated and the new art is super lovely), yes you can collect sp from your pet's jobs if they're in the hotel, but if they're a glutton and you like feeding them there's also an achievement called 'The Gourmand' which is for feeding them x amount of unique foods and it happens to be like my favorite thing to do on Subeta, just saying.

I know you've gotten the offer for help from other people but if you want somebody to chat up leave me a comment or something <3

For someone who joined two days ago, you sure don't look like it. I know that feeling of friend migration, but at least you know where yours went. XD Mine just uprooted and left after announcing they'd do so. But that was about five years ago, when I was just crawling into the internet as a long term resident. I'm not even apart of that website or the fandom it revolved around. I don't roleplay anymore either, so meh. I'm glad you found a place to settle though. My favorite thing? Well, the list of compliments can tell you a few. If I had to choose one.... I would say that the freedom this site has to offer and the people are my favorite thing right now.

Haha, never expected that! I know you mean with my words because all of the "materialistic" parts of my virtual person are default for now. I've collected several things for my avatar, but have yet to find any way of matching them. I absolutley love some of the profiles, but I do not know code. XD One day I may learn it for the sake of profile making on here, but for now, I shall sit in my little hole default wonders all proud and whatnot. I may take the time to earn that achievement, but for the moment, I'm scurrying about all over the place for sP so that I can get some certain potions. It may take a while, but I will do it. XD As for your offer on a conversation, based on how you've written your "About Me," you seem like a wonderful person whose mental ear I can chat off. I definitely meant adorable with words! If you have collected a few pieces but don't have anything that matches maybe look at what you do have and see if there are any other colors of items on shop search? Even though I have plenty of more expensive items I love using some of the restockables from the Clothing Rack, Sole Train, and Accessory Bin especially their belts and the stockings/leggings.

As for coding I think we're working on a site recode (which means we'd get a new layout) and that's going to change how coding works on profiles so it's definitely okay if you wait :) And achievements can be fun too. Especially the game ones. You can make some sp while going for the game achievements and they're pretty easy. If you want sp though Sarah's Quest is a good start, just try to do the quests where you can restock the actual item. After that Wizard and Saggitarius (if you have over 750k and can't do Sarah anymore) are pretty good sp earners.

I can't say I have that many threads I frequent though :/ I have my friend's chit chat board I go on sometimes and I have my gourmand achievement board (which is all about getting your pet to x amount of unique foods eaten) but other than that I'm a little bit scattered, a post here and one there!
