Like the title says, I'm new...I'm guessing there's a lot of new people here right now by the other posts.

Hi everyone...and I hope someone can help me with a few things I've been trying to figure out in the last day.

For example, how do you change your pet's appearance or get its stats to go up??? Mine gained 3 levels and nothing changed at all. Someone please send a mail to tell me!

There are no clothes for pets but you can change your pets appearance by using potions, elixirs, or zapping (http://www.subetalodge.org/pets). Pets can gain stats from random events, oracle quest (which are random), training your pet at the training center located in Riverside, battling in the Battle Coliseum and exchanging your exp, and various items can boost stats.

Thanks for that, but I'm afraid it's still a little vague...Where do you get the right potions and elixirs, what kinds of random events so I know what to look for, and what kinds of items boost what stats? I figured out books increase intellect, but what other items help boost stats?

Again, thanks for the initial explanation and the site, I appreciate it. I just need a bit more detail when I don't know much about the site and the walkthrough kinda sucks...

Hello there ! I hope you are enjoying the site so far!

Potions and Elixirs to change the color and species of your pet can be restocked from the Magic Box (found under Main Shops). Rarer potions can also be found through random events. You pet can also change color and species by using the Pet Zapper, but be warned, the outcome of experimenting may not always be what you expect!

As for increasing stats, you are correct in assuming that books increase intelligence. The most common way to increase other stats is to train your pets in the Training Center. There are items out there that will increase stats without training, but they are rather costly. (I hope this helps!!)

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask!!! :)

Thank you, Swimfreak...that helped a fair bit more! :D Well, it's not too bad here, but it takes a bit of getting used to, and most of the quests seem to cause me to lose sP, not gain it, so...LOL!

At least I can say it's interesting enough that I haven't quit yet, so that's a good sign! :) Thanks.

Hi, welcome! I hope you're still finding everything okay, do ask if you need any more help. One piece of advice - you can 'ping' people to let them know you've replied to them, by putting an @ in front of their username in your reply. C:

Okay, thanks ...so here's a question for you...why do all the people with the 'skilled hooker' ranking seem to look like zombies????

, You're welcome!

Doing quests takes some getting used to. As you do them more and more everyday, you'll learn where to set your spending limit. (Don't feel bad about quitting a quest, you won't be penalized ;) ) You'll be making money in no time!

Haha, that's probably just a coincidence. ;D You pick up a zombie infection from the Survival event every Feburary, and I just kept mine from a few years ago cause I love it so much. The 'skilled hooker' thing is completely independent, and is a forumtitle that you pick up with certain achievements. The default one that you've got, in bold, changes with your post number, but since you've adopted a pet you should have the Only Room For One achievement, which comes with a title. You can claim your titles here, and when you've claimed them you can change them here. C:

Also, quest-wise, the most profitable (for most people), are Wizard quests. I wouldn't spend over 20-25k on the items right about now, seeing as much less that and you're not always guaranteed a profit.

Thank you ! I only have 26k right now... >.> Some of the things seemed to be double-purchasing, so my sP went down faster than expected, and I don't know how to get my sP out of my shop. I'll have a look at the Wizard quests and see how that goes, then. Thanks again for the tips! :D

When you're in your shop (hover over Commerce, go down to your shops, to the right, you know the drill), and pick the option 'profits'. There you can withdraw all the sP in your till. C: Wizard quests don't always provide a direct sP profit, in fact they pretty much don't, but the Wizard tokens they give out sell very well in shops, and are at a really profitable price at the moment.

Don't I need the Wizard Points to use the Zapper? Or would you recommend I wait awhile before trying to change my pet?

Yup, Wizard points are the currency used for the zapper. You can definitely do both at the same time - you get plenty of Wizard tokens in one day from questing, and can only use the zapper once every- 12 hours, I think? I don't know, pretty much once a day. So you could always use one a day and sell the rest, or save them up, it's totally up to you. C:

Okay, thanks, this all makes a lot more sense now! :D :D Also, thanks for helping me get to my shop sP. The Wizard quests seem to be working out fairly well so far--I got sP and an item (Wizard points and a hair dye!), so that was good advice, too. I've come to the conclusion that almost any time I have to buy something from another player, I'm better off skipping it! LOL!

I'm glad it's working out, haha! That's not always true, but if it's working or you, stick with it. ;D And you're welcome! Do ask if you need any more help!

Hi dear, welcome to Subeta! As you can see everyone is really happy to help out and answer any questions you might have.

Battling with pets is quite complex, and we have an entire forum dedicated to it. In the opening threads there are some sticky threads with guides that will walk you through things, because there's a lot involved :D

Hope that helps a bit!

Ah, thanks, that'll help a lot! I don't think I'll start battling just yet, though, since I'm still getting used to doing quests and things. When I'm ready, I'll have a look at the forums you suggested! :D
