Problem: Some holiday items are underneath the banner ads and unable to be obtained.

I'm using Google Chrome on Windows 7. Sometimes an item will load just barely before the ad will load so I can see the item but cannot click it because an ad will load shortly after. It happened during the 8th anniversary but I was so busy I didn't think to file a ticket or report it here. I lost out on probably over 20 gift bags that time around and so far I've missed 4 or 5 pumpkins for this holiday event. Since there's no way to to foresee where an event item might crop up, it's been difficult to try and test it in another browser.

Site Preferences > Custom CSS

>span[style] { border:2px solid red; position:absolute !important; left:5px !important; top:5px !important; }

That code should position the floating item in the upper left corner.

Those are both really good work arounds, and I added the Custom CSS to my site preferences but it seems like there should be a way to keep items from going underneath the ads to begin with. Sometimes I'm directed to some very cool places via the ads, so I'm not going to just remove them and having to add the custom CSS, I don't know, it just feels like something I should be able to CHOOSE to do, not be required to keep from missing out on the floating items.

you can also click anywhere on the page and then press 'tab' until the floating item link is highlighted, then press 'enter'.

The CSS is really your best bet. It means that not only can you always click the items (for any event with floating items) but also that you don't have to search the whole page for them. The CSS was made specifically so it wouldn't hide behind objects on the page. I even think Keith was the one that gave me the CSS to use so I doubt anything will be changed.
