I just started here - i wanted to check it out.

I found this because I don't like neopets anymore lol

So any suggestions or tips or helpful advice for a newcomer? I am having a little trouble navigating the site... so help there would be cool.

Maybe just give me a quick rundown? lol

Hello Jay, I'm Patience. Hmm, well, for starters, you could hover over "personal" and click "site preferences" and then navigate to the "sidebar" tab above. You can customize your side bar and make it easier to navigate. Also, to the right tabs, you see that plus sign? Click it while on your favorite subeta pages and you can make shortcuts for that page. I have "Adopt R Us", "Pet Zapper V.2", "Donation Corner", and "Adoption Forums" as my current shortcuts. I can try and help you with anything you have questions with c: You can ping me as I pinged you. All you have to do is look directly to the top-right of my post and click the profile button that has the exclamation mark. It gives me an event so I know know that I was contacted in my left sidebar. I also came from neopets. I am still on there "princess_zelda9" is my main. Have fun on subeta!

Hey! Welcome to Subeta! Something you'll probably want to know is how to 'ping' people; to let someone know you've mentioned them on the forums you can click the icon, or put a @ symbol in front of the person's username in your reply.

Hehe, no worries! Pinging is probably one of my favourite features on Subeta - it makes holding a conversation so much easier. C:

Where do I go to edit my HTML features of my post? Like make it centered or add a picture like you have?

Here's the link, for ease, but for future reference go Personal, at the top, -> Site Preferences -> Forum Options -> Edit ForumText. It uses sCode, which functions like normal HTML but with square brackets. ^^

Can't help but agree with Once you get teh hang of it, subeta is a way better than neopets :)

Welcome to subeta . I hope you like it here. Don't forget to do your quests, there's a special one for newbies, Sarah's quest (http://subeta.net/explore/quests_starter.php) Once you get enough money, you can make wizard quests (Explorer > Sacred Lands) and get wizard tokens that you can use around the site :). Don't forget to check the Help Foruns, you can aswer all of your questions there n_n If you need anything, please ping me () or leave me a mensage :D

Hey, I also have a neopets account too and agree that it is a bit boring. Nothing to ever do there anymore. Pretty much what others said here will lead you off to a nice start.:) If you haven't, check out the shops to get some stuff like clothes, toys, food, etc under Commerce and it says Main Shops. From there once you start with quests and stuff, you can get plenty of nice things for your human avatar as well as making your pet(s) look nice.

Hey Jay! If you hook up your fb account to it, and post on your wall, you get a voucher that can sell for like 3million.

As you know, I also left neo (I froze my old main). How's the guild?

A good spot you should check out on the forums would be giveaways (: you get free stuff and it makes it a bit easier to save up sp.

Nice to see you here - this is more different than I expected. I really want to be able to use my webdesign skills like I was on petpages and such, but i can't figure out how to edit my profile or a "petpage" of any kind. I am trying to figure out how to make a user lookup that looks neat with images and stuff...

http://subeta.net/preferences.php has a lot of the links to where you can edit your profile and things. to change your pet's profiles, just click on your pet and click "Change description"
