Psychonauts deserves a remake so bad.

"Let's make Psychonauts 2 happens," Tweets Notch, creators of Minecraft.

Dracogen, the people who made the PC and Mac version of Psychonauts are in.

There is a Kotaku article on it.

And Game Informer tells us Tim and Notch are ''talking."

What could all this mean? Could the gave I have senselessly fangirled over for some time really have a sequel? Could the designs of the characters that are in my forumTEXT become obsolete? Let us hope for such a thing to happen. ...well, maybe not that last part.

it was the first game i used a walkthrough with. i only had like 3 days to play because it was rented, but wanted to finish it all the way through lolol

Fingers crossed. Psychonauts is a breath of fresh air in an industry where military shooters and gore graphics are the norm. I like 'em as much as the next guy but we need a break. If this gets made and it's anything like the first one, it'll be great.

While I'm not the kind of person to sing the virtues of Psychonauts from the rooftops, it is a fun game and I would definitely enjoy a well-executed sequel. I hope this works out.

i must say that i agree wholeheartedly with almost your whole post, except sadly for the forum text part :( definatly been a fangirl for YEARS. it needs to happen! but there needs to be at least lilly, milkman, lungfish and sasha making an apperance somewhare. oh and dogan. and crazy twins. and fire starting drum player. ok, cutting myself off. if i kept going the only character not on the list would be bobby. the thing i love about this game is the way they took time to develope the characters and make the cut scenes have good animation. and just how the whole wackyness of it everything ties in togther. OK, STOPING NOW. any ideas to bring this wonderful concept into reality are much apreaciated.

If the point-and-click adventure game Double Fine is making right now is going to turn out to be successful, hopefully they'll be able to start to make the sequel to this great game.

I never said I didn't want the characters to be in it. XD I just don't their designs to drastically change, so my forumtext won't be incorrect. (The forumtext part was a joke, btw.) I have all the main campers in my forumtext. c: (You'd have to refresh 24+ times to see them all. XD) I loves them~ It was project I did some time ago. XD (I can link you the whole image if you'd like.)

Hmm...unfortunately, this doesn't seem likely anytime soon anymore. With budget predictions high above what Notch originally predicted, and with Schafer inevitably busy with his new, kickstarted project...

Oh well. I'll tentatively look forward to Schafer's new project instead.

One of my top ten games for sure. I can only be wary of it though, as it has a lot to live up to!
