I'm having trouble defeating Wyrmgear at the moment... I tried putting defensive baguettes on my weapons, using the Pandemonium/Ignitious combo and yet he still keeps demolishing me... any advice? Or should I just wait until my stats are higher? These are my current stats and weapons/scrolls:

If you can, get a Forj Tempered Shield, it pretty much eliminates all of his damage. 1st turn, use both blasters + cobalt. You stand a much better chance when his repair bot or sonic boom are gone. 2nd - Forj Shield + Wand + Terra. Pretty much you need to hope for your shield to not break and for him to use his gear smash as often as he can. You might only do around 200-300 dmg, byut he loses 160hp (I think) for using each gear smash. 3rd and onwards - Hope your shield doesn't break, and p-quill when low.

Also, if you have leftover exp, try to get 1k speed, it helps a lot when he can't crit you.

I agree with , the Forj Tempered Shield is very helpful. It's probably cheaper if you make it yourself instead of buying it. :)

Also Perilous Whirlpool scroll is a good one to have, also another Cobalt does come in handy if you really need to block some of those nastier icons.

sigh... I seem to be having terrible luck, as the shield keeps breaking after 1 turn, and he immediately crits me for 1500+ the next turn... I'll probably wait till I'm stronger or something :/

, all the hints here have been good. From what I've seen you might be a bit too low in stats. I noticed that usually to not have much trouble with a challenger (first battles) you need to match their speed in all your main stats. Not that you can't beat them before that, especially with stats as near as yours, but before that it would require luck on what weapons you turn with the blasters and tablets and when you heal and that the challenger don't do too often their biggest attack. Not to mention that I noticed that crits happen more often (to you) when your speed if lower then the challenger speed, not sure if there is a link tough.

I was able to max out all my Tier 8s with this, but you have a little ways to go before you can equip the Squeaky toy. Healing scroll and sanct scroll

1st turn: Blast + blast+ sanct After that do PSST + Pandy if your health is over half or PSST + Shield if you health is less than half GL! :)
