You click on the item in your inventory, and put it in your armory. Then, you can go to the Battle Coliseum via the Games link and choose that weapon for your default set :) [edit] link to armory

Click on the item and put it in your armory. There's no limit to how many you can have in your armory, but you can only take 8 weapons into battle with you. So the armory is just a storage.

There are VERY informative threads that can help you with all of the basics of battling located in the Useful Battle Threads sticky at the top of the forum. I suggest you take a look through it :)

You need to train your pet at the Training Center. They don't automatically level: it's also trained by the trainer.

The 0 would be your current health. At 0 HP, your pet cannot battle. Before going into battle, just make sure that your pet is fully healed. You can visit the healer in Riverside to heal your pet for a cheap cost if needed.
