Small update on those companions. Toki_chan wants me to mention that the boy (white one) may be limited, but so far no particular limits on the black one (the girl) :) (boy is still WIP)
Oh, and I finished the CI for the wig XD

Whee, an update!

commissioned me for a wig (and a couple companions but more on those later). She said I can post WIPs as long as I say that the wig might not be accepted as-is with the horns and all, and one of the companions may be a limited batch because it is more of a personal item. But yeah, I've been doing things. Amazing :D Oh, ps, she's taking slots for it

Excitement! Something I drew was accepted onsite!

commissioned and is compiling a waitlist for this wig. Since I haven't posted much here lately, I just thought I'd update about this!
P.s. it was fun to use forum code to post the images instead of hosting them. Oh yes, I'm easily amused

Okay, these are officially too much fun!

This one is a little strange, I thought a really structural crimp might be cute. Would probably look best with hairclips or something.
Other things I now have kicking around:

The skirts are just skirts. The belt is me messing around: it's held together with strips of mesh, which are supposed to look like belt loops when worn.

I can definitely see people buying your work, this wig is already lovely. c:
Thank you for the encouragement! :)
Hopefully will have some other examples soon, getting other work out of the way XD
Awesome, I can't wait to see what other wigs you come up with. c:
If you wanna know when I release a CW (if there's interest and I set up a shop or some such, still have to figure out how that works) I made a ping group: Fine if not! I've just been having fun doing these, so it's possible I would try to sell a couple in the future (when I'm reasonably sure I can make things that would pass the approval process XD)
Totally joining. c: I probably wouldn't be able to afford anything, but I'd love to see future CWs. c:
I've always adored your art and you have no idea how happy I am to see you back on Subeta!
These CWs are amazing! I love the wig, especially. Really unique! I could definitely see people buying these. Do you have a ping group that you'll use when you release new stuff at all?
I had no idea anyone would know I was gone! XD Thanks for the kind words and encouragement :D I made a CW ping group, , if you want notices. I haven't decided if I want to ping it for WIPs yet until I actually start a shop; I've only been back a little more than a week and I'm still not sure what the process is for selling without dipping $50 at first, which is more than I can really afford to spend XD.
Really great quality of work so far! I could see you being a big success in the market. :) The only thing at all that staff might have a problem with is your lack of black lineart within the colored portion of both the wig and the skirt. They are shaded beautifully so it's not even that noticeable, but staff seem to call people out on that A LOT so I would keep it in mind. You should try opening a shop and seeing if you can fill some slots up! When you submit a CW there is an option on the submission page that allows you to enter the names of users that have slots for your item, and when you submit they are pinged to pay for their slot. That way, you don't have to have the $50 worth of CSC yourself to submit right off the bat.
Thank you! c: And thank you as well, and double-thanks for the mini walkthrough, I didn't know about that (did I miss a FAQ? :x). I've heard about the black lines thing, I think that's what people mean when they talk about a sticker effect? Hopefully I can avoid getting called on that if I keep the shading distinct enough, since I prefer not having black lines on the inside, but I appreciate the warning from someone with more experience than I :D Thanks for stopping by and being so helpful!
Yes, you're right, the lack of black lines is what they mean by sticker effect. You could always give it a try and see if they would accept it without the lines inside, just cautioning you that they're pretty hardcore about it. And no, I don't think you missed a FAQ anywhere! I just joined a few weeks ago and trying to learn the process of opening a shop/submitting CW was killer without asking for help from someone with experience. Really need to make a sticky thread somewhere about the submission process! :P
Yup, I took a break for school and here's all this stuff when I get back! Eventually maybe they'll centralize some of the information to make it a little clearer for those who haven't yet braved the unknown, hehe.
Well, what people usually do is make the item, then put it up for 10 slots and have each person claim for 600 CSC each. (Or 500 if you're not interested in profit for yourself.) That way 10 * 600 = 6,000 CSC, giving you 1,000 CSC profit per batch. That way you don't have to come up with the 50$ yourself!
If you have any questions or anything feel free to ask! It's kinda complicated at first, but after a while you get used to the whole process. :)
And of course people remember you! I remember being super sad you didn't update your DA that often, since your art is drool worthy. DAT SHADING.
oh my, your shading style is absolutely lovely. i adore the skirt and the belt concept. :0

Oh, that's amazing! And such a fun item at that, the hair is so textured and a lovely shade of blue. Congratulations! <3
Thank you! It was actually a lot of fun to draw, and TOP was great to work for, so I think it went fairly smoothly c: It got rejected once (sadface!), but the fix was really minor and it went through after that.
Aww, that's great! It's awesome that you had an easy fix your first time getting something submitted/accepted. c: Your CWs inspire me, make me want to work harder at getting better. I love how you add texture and a sense of realness (esp. with your newest hair, it just looks so fluffy. I want to touch it).
I have a long way to go myself, I'm flattered to be an encouragement to you! I had to go and find this: Noah Bradley, who does illustration work for Wizards of the Coast and that sort of thing, posted this on his facebook one day and for some reason it often is true
And at the time I figured it was voodoo magic, because that particular day was just a drag for me as far as drawing went, so seeing that post was helpful and frightening XD.
