Does anyone watch PewDiePie or ChaoticMonki? YouTube gamers, they're hilarious :D

Haha I just watched a bunch of PewDiePie vids last night actually, he's totally hilarious! One of my friends hates him with a passion, I don't get how anyone could hate him haha.

I only follow Cry. I like his game choices and his style, and that quite soothing voice. Plus, the guy's really pleasant. He even asked his fans not to spam the Youtube videos of the tracks he uses with "CRY BROUGHT ME HERE" garbage. Regarding PewDiePie, I don't like him, but I still find some of his early Let's Plays entertaining before he became the overacting LOLSORANDOM thing he is today.

One of the reasons why people hate him is that he made lots of rape jokes in the past, and he's trying to tone the jokes down after tons of complaints. Many also hate his fans more than the man himself, since his fanbase mostly consists of annoying preteens.

Ahh I didn't know that, I haven't seen very many of his older videos. I can understand the controversy with that. I try not to let fanbases deter me from anyone, but graveyardgirl has a looot of psychotic preteens that she doesn't even try to manage. I really like how Pewdiepie has a 'please respect each other in the comments' message on all of his vids, wish she'd do the same.

I have to say, hearing that is kind of a relief, in a sense. I don't know who Cry is and I don't pay attention to any of the LP videos in general but his fans caused me to hate him. I know that's a bit unfair seeing as it wasn't him doing anything personally. But I track quite a few tags on tumblr. And when it's for a video game, it's for information on the game, gifs, and quotes, etc. And the Cry fans have literally been spamming their comments on his videos and quotes from him. At first I just blocked each individual person so I didn't have to see it but then it got so annoying I had to untrack each tag for the game because it got so excessive. So you can kind of see where I'm coming from. Hearing that he's a pleasant guy improves my opinion on him though and basically just focuses my hate and aggravation towards his tumblr fans only.

Yeah, it's just his fans. I came across him by accident, I think some other LPer mentioned him or something and the guy is pleasant enough. But one thing I noticed right away is that his comments are unusually full of things like... from plain love u's and marry me's to 'I listen to this voice to go to sleep' and 'oh, so cry wasn't happy about [messing with that woman's head], you are such a kind person THAT'S WHY WE LOVE YOU CRY!!!' and. What. They are kinda creepy.

I have to agree. Lurking some of his tags, they seemed to be pretty obsessed with the guy. It's quite common though. It seems to be something typical teenaged female fans do a lot. Aside from the NSFW fanart of him I stumbled upon, I didn't think too much of those kinds of comments.

There is NSFW artwork of- of course there is. Oh god gracious, I don't think I'm fit to roam the internet, really. I know these kinds of comments are really common, but I get the vibe of obsessive... hero worship that bothers me. It's the voice I guess. Quiet and soothing like beez said, and the guy is nice, I can see girls fall madly in love with that or something.

He's tried to ask fans to stop spamming Youtube videos and Tumblr tags related to the games he plays with things related to his videos. The attempt's only been a little successful, but the Cry-related content tends to die down in the tag a while after he's done with the game and moved on to a new one. The game tags do get to get the generic "WATCHING CRY PLAY CORPSE PARTY, SO MANY FEELS! Party " posts every now and then when a new fan starts to watch a particular game.
