I'll make a pair with my hand BEFORE it's time for one of my cards to be selected, and then I'll have one card left to pick. But the card isn't taken, and one of my opponents clearly makes a pair because they grey out and it says they have no cards left. But I still have the card on hand and it forces me to continue the game.
It's happened twice today. I'm on chrome
(if someone else already reported this, my bad)
If the person who's supposed to take your card runs out during their turn, then they'll be out of the game and won't take your last one. So in that case you have to keep going.
[edit] Here's another thread asking about the same thing, and it's explained in there.
Clicking continue allows for each opponent to take their turn; it does not always mean a card is taken from you. A card will only be taken from you if the opponent that plays after you has not gotten rid all of their cards in their turn.
Example
You: 1 card Opponent 1: 2 cards Opponent 2: 3 cards Opponent 3: 1 card
Opponent 2 takes one of Opponent 3's cards Opponent 3 no longer has cards, and is considered a winner so they will not take one of your cards.
The next round, so long as Opponent 2 still has cards, one of your cards will be taken.
I read both this explanation and the other thread's explanation, and I'm still not getting it. Opponent three is not the one that takes a card from me; it's opponent one, since we take cards from the player who just went (the one on our left, as the game says -- gameplay goes around counter-clockwise.). So if I had two cards, took one from opponent three and made a pair, leaving me with one card, then there are two possibilities. Either opponent one became a winner last round, in which case opponent two would be picking from my hand, or opponent one still has at least one card, and would take a turn, which also means taking my card. I've encountered this glitch multiple times.
Edit: Okay, I numbered them backwards, going in order of play. Oops. Let me recheck my thinking here.
Okay, I can sorta see what's going on. Gameplay in fact goes clockwise...I think. I think I sorta got it. Not completely, but I think I see what's going on. Sorry.

That's alright! IT can seem confusing because so much can happen in one go.. it would be so much less confusing if it didn't all happen at once.. but then it would make the game tedious to play.
Did you have any other questions or issues? :)
No, I'm good. Thank you.
