I asked about tutorials for coding cult layouts in feb 2009, and never got any replies. Here we are over a year later, and still we have never found any information on cult layout coding - in fact the site has changed again so that even the minimal cult layout we had is messed up. Web search doesn't turn up any information, forum browsing certainly doesn't turn up any information, and a tour of other cults shows that no one else seems to know what to do with them either. It appears most people have just resigned themselves to the fact that our cults will be ugly, because after two years (perhaps more, but that's how long it has been for me) the situation hasn't improved.

We were told, "Everything about cults is going to change soon" and Keith said he would be working on cults next... but that was 16+ months ago and cults continue to be the neglected area of the site. On a social site like this, guilds/clubs tend to be of huge importance, and the appearance of those guilds/clubs is a priority to most people, so i'm confused by the apparent lack of interest in this area. Why do people not discuss this more? Why do i go on the graphics forum and find cults not mentioned? Why are there 19364654 people talking about shop layouts and pet profiles, but no one cares about cults? Surely someone must know how to make the front page of a cult not look a complete mess. Any help would be extremely appreciated. Thank you.

So either we are the only ones who care what cult profile looks like, or the proper coding is just a huge secret. sigh

I have been digging in google for an hour trying to find one damn premade cult layout code. there is not one.

Cult coding is set up in a very strange way, it's not worth most people's time to figure out. I have never seen a pre-made cult layout, and have only seen a few cults receive layouts from some magical person who knows how to code them.

: tbh, I spend more time in a cults forums, not on their front page, so I don't care how it looks. Also, I haven't ever done anything cult-related (code-wise), because nobody's asked me. I don't even know what a cult's html looks like or what the options are. I might in the future, but right now I'm content on experimenting with pet & profile layouts.

I don't want a premade layout, i just want to be able to code one myself. So much of normal html/css is apparently blocked here, it is very difficult to figure out. Ah well we did the best we could, i guess it will have to do. Good luck with that layout conure.

It's nice to know some people are not superficial, but sadly most people are influenced by appearances. I hope to resurrect our now dead cult, and i hope we will give people a reason to stay after they join, but the outer appearance is what tends to attract the attention in the first place.

Are you still trying to figure out cult coding? This is the coding for one of the premade layouts that Subeta uses (you can get the link by going to Admin > Config > Edit Layout within your cult); you can always mess around with that and you can see how the cults are coded?

I have coded a few cults for people so I understand how it works; I can explain it to you if you have things that you don't understand.
