Hiya! I've been on Subeta for a few days now, but I feel like making a proper introduction at least!

I'm J4Y, and I came here because this site got the best of two worlds - avatars and pets! I've been to a bunch of those two sites. Subeta is the only one I really like that has both so far.

Avatars customization, what can I say? I'm a total sucker for it. Gaia began my, uh, 'obsesssion' with it. A lot of the times I used my avatar as a base, for colors to go matchy-matchy, textures, balance. It wasn't really a persona or anything because nothing was consistent and there was no character for my little dress up doll, mwhaha... As you can see I already figured things on here, heh. This time I have a character in mind for my avatar and try to dress her for her personality.

Pet site wise, I think we all know the Neo. From there I've been jumping in and off pet sites. I'll stick here for a while.

I've always been a lurker. I'm a total chicken when it comes to the social part of 'social avatar sites'! But now I've got questions about joining the community here. Wanna make friends here, yup!

1. Should I join a 'cult'? The heck, the name is weird and I don't know if there's any applications to apply for or anything...
2. Is the shoutbox a nice place? I'm scared to jump in... ; o;
3. Chit-Chat forum... where to start?

Hi . Welcome to subeta. Hope you enjoy it here. I love the ha customization on subeta. I spend most of my time changing my ha. :) Also been to neo and gaia. Enjoyed gaia for awhile but it's all about the cash there so I finally gave up except for my fish tank. lol

Joining a cult really is an individual thing. And they are all different. Some are geared toward a specific aspect of subeta - ha, battling, gourmand, pets. Some are just groups of friends that chat about all of it.

Some cults do have applications. Many, maybe even most, do not. Some have age restrictions. Check out the cult forum and maybe see if you feel comfy in any of the cult chat threads. Join in some of the conversations and maybe you'll find one that fits you. I know I didn't really begin to enjoy subeta until I found a cult and the members helped me feel comfortable and less of a lurker. At least with them. ❤

Can't help with the other two. I don't use shoutbox and I don't post in chit chat much.

, thanks! On Gaia there were a lot of things that I wanted but were out of my reach being cash items or the jacked price of something. Here I know can pretty much get anything since it's always possible to get in my reach! Fantasy items like animal ears or tails just there like -boom-, shop item even! Such items to get on G' were hell to get. :p

I think I'll go to a general cult then, but I don't know whether I should go for a small or big cult... Feels like intruding in a small one and thinking of big cult is a little intimidating. I think I'll just shoot with what catches me eye. The closest thing I've been into an online group was a single guild in an MMO.

I know what you mean. You don't need cash to make great HAs here. And most of the cash items you can save sP for and eventually buy from people selling them. Makes for being able to make a huge variety of HAs which makes me happy. :)

No matter what size cult you join it might be intimidating to begin with. But if you hang in there and participate as you feel comfortable if they give to time you'll probably enjoy whatever cult you join. The first cult I was in was pretty big but often felt smaller because so many members never really particpated. Those that did were really nice and though it took me time they got me to come out of my shell and join in more.
