I get the options to redeem and to put in wardrobe. There is no Open option.

The redeem option is where you choose the male or female set.

Locking since this is not a bug. Please choose redeem to get to the page where you choose male or female.

I will now correct the title on my subject, but there's still a bug. When you open any other Costume Trunk, you get an option "Open Trunk!". "Redeem" only occurs on CS items that no longer give out what they are supposed to, and it give you CSC instead.

It was an honest mistake, it is entirely possible that and the UA did exactly what you did and similarly went all ??? too. Since my OP title said you couldn't open it, and (now) I know you can, it seems like I was completly wrong instead of a little bit wrong.

I'm glad it opened properly for you. Me, I'm a bit more cautious.

Indeed, I wasn't even aware there was a chance it wouldn't open and would instead be exchanged for CSC (if I'm understanding you correctly.) Lesson thus learned.

Sorry it might have been because they had to add an item to the trunk earlier. When I "opened" mine it still said redeem, which I thought was weird but it still opened. I do apologize!

thank you for your kind apology. I am also glad that your open worked. It may be that all that is necessary for a fix would be to change the wording.

I love this trunk and I bought two because I want so many items in both sets.

If it is, just to clarify: The Mysterious Bottle says "redeem" opposed to "Open Trunk", but works properly, correct?

My original ticket was closed due to being inactive. I opened my two trunks while I had another ticket open, and both opened properly. Since mine are now both open, I have no way to tell if this particular thing has been fixed. I also do not know if they all open properly, only that the two I had (and the ones mentioned here) all have done so.

As a result of the ticket, I know that "redeem" is not the right word, that is to say they're not intentionally changing it for this and all future trunks.

I thought it was redeem because the trunk itself is a wearable? Like it wasn't originally intended to be a trunk with items inside so you're redeeming the wearable to get another set of wearables rather than opening a regular old trunk? Unless they've taken away the bottle's overlay.

that is a reasonable guess, but I also have some other now-updated unopened-by-me trunks that were originally wearables in and of themselves. (having these unopened but in your wardrobe saves you a TON of layers) Like this one, you got them at random from opening up a MCT. They do not say "redeem". They say "Open Trunk!" like any other Costume Trunk.

Redeem is also used to turn in Fringe Magazine hairstyles so that you can use them in the Hair Salon. It's another point of confusion, so I will be glad when they change this.
