Has anyone else read Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld? It's a thoroughly enjoyable book, with amazing main characters: Alek, the ficitonal son of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, and Deryn, a girl who disguises herself as a boy to serve in the British Air Service. Setting is WWI, but there are a lot of steampunk twists to it.
Leviathan has wormed its way to my top five list, and I was wondering if anyone else around subeta liked it too. :D
Yes, and in my opinion it was even better than the first! I do wish Alek would figure it out, though. I mean, really, Bovril is practically TELLING him. ^_^;
I KNOW. Gosh it's so obvious lol. Guess we have to wait for Goliath to come out d:
Guess so. D: But apparently the release date has been moved forward; it's in September now instead of October. :D squees
Yeah. And INORIGHT? Especially when he was like "I'm in love..."
And she was like "O_____O"
And he was like "...with a whale."
And she was like "-____________________-"
I do agree about the writing; I'd love just a bit more description and maturity (the characters seem a bit younger than they are), but still, the sheer awesomeness makes up for it. :D
I've been a Scott Westerfeild fan for years; I think I waited five years for that book to come out. XD He took forever to write it.
I have major problems with one of my friends because he's a Clanker and I'm a Darwinist. We get in arguments about who's better regularly.
I love Leviathan :) I didn't much like Behemoth, but I can't wait for Goliath! ^^ It's the only series I like that Scott Westerfeld has.
