I have a strange problem in White 2 and i'm wondering if this has happened to anybody.

I was playing through White Treehollow and I got to level seven. I have beaten every trainer on both floors and still have not found the gatekeeper. Oddly enough the trainers tell me that he's in a spinning circle with two others and definitely male, yet on the upper floor trainers said they saw him go downstairs and downstairs they say they saw him go upstairs. I mapped out my dungeon and I have indeed visited every room and beaten every trainer.

Is there anything I could do or should I give up and try again?

That is really weird... if you have beaten every trainer and you are SURE of it, maybe restarting the level might be the only way to go. Hate to say it, but if there is no one left, then that's the only answer. I'd double-check, though, just to be sure.
