before the event starts i thought i'd ask for tips and advice, but first maybe a question or two of my own. How long is the event??? do you need to buy something that i should save up in order to dance with others??

You'll need a mask, because it's a masquerade. Most masks work, but not everything.

Usually the event lasts one to two weeks, but it can vary a bit.

Which masks are good ones? and do they disappear after you dance with one on, or do they stay?

They stay on. They're items in your wardrobe after all.

The vast majority of the masks work. If you want to be certain, though, get a mask that has "masquerade" in its name, like [item=Gold Masquerade Wire Mask (Left Half)]. New masks will also likely be released at the start of the event.

It's after the Zombie event (which is supposed to start on Tues), so sometime in March I think? Pretty sure it started on like March 19th last year.

Just note that the top tier for this is 2500 dances requested ("dancing queen" title...), so definetely don't stop at 1k dances...

I'm willing to dance with anyone, you also get an achievement if someone refuses to dance with you so don't forget to refuse people once in a while, even if it does seem mean, it is useful for some :)

Yep... it's really hard to get it all done in a year, but I've managed around 1300 dances last year, so it's definetely possible to do in two years :P JUST DANCE YOUR FEET OFF 8D (and then grab it all in prizes!)
