I roleplay solely over email. I might give you my Skype if we're buddies and you can also contact me on Subeta. I'm not a big IM kind of girl though so you'll have to forgive me for that.

Call me a slash roleplayer. Nowadays I'd say I roleplay mostly M// but I've been dying for a good F// or two over the last few months especially in the cop's daughter x criminal kind of pairing. Basically just give me your bisexual, flamboyant, in the closet, in denial, experimental, anything but purely straight men and women.

As for rules and shenanigans I'm not going to start listing a bunch of shit you already know. That's a waste of your time so instead I'm going to tell you about what I enjoy in a partner. Yes?

I really like roleplay partners who like a little bit of side conversation, rambling on about characters and talking about how our days were (and maybe even Subeta). My favorite replies always have quite a bit of length. Obviously each scene isn't going to need the same size reply but I absolutely adore what most people would call a 'novel length post'. Not only do I enjoy partners who like longer replies but I prefer ones who don't take 3 days for every response. I'm not looking for a partner with the most polished replies because I'm already asking a lot but I pretty much want a beautiful, emotional mess --an addiction-- something with characters I can sink my teeth into. If my partner's idea of an emotional mess is somebody who has a past riddled with tragedy and lacks any redeeming qualities, then I don't think we're on the same page. However if you consider that just a plain disaster I believe we're on the same page.

The pairings I'm going to list below aren't the only pairings I do. For the most part these are all pairings I'm not actively involved in with another partner and they're ones that pique my interest now so it's a rather short list. In a spoiler at the bottom of the post I'll also give you an idea of some pairings I am currently invested in to give you an idea of other things I really enjoy. No key is necessary because I'm not going to weigh you down with stuff that I don't particularly want. Which also means I'm willing to play either role/gender in any pair.

You needed one post for each of the bands obviously. They were too busy competing for the spotlight to share a post ;) But the two types of bands you just listed sound amazing. I feel like they aren't bands that would naturally 'compete' since they don't normally attract the same crowd (I wouldn't think) but I'd love to see maybe some sort of regional or statewide music fair/competition kind of thing going on. Something that brings an edge of competition or elitism to what would normally be bands that wouldn't cross paths. Even better if their positions in the band were even instruments that the other band didn't use?

Yeah, the competition idea sounds interesting. Or maybe they end up fighting over rehearsal space! Conflict is good, it leads to passion and feelings which you need in any self-respecting story...

Or both really? I could see them either fighting over rehearsal space and one band trashing their space before/after competition either to mess them up or because they ended up ranking higher than them (and at that point they obviously ranked higher because they hogged the rehearsal space). If we wanted to give them a closer tie maybe there's a pair of siblings between the two bands, not the main characters but just other members.

Also conflict <3333 you're right we can't have a good story without stuff that pulls people apart and brings them together.

Oooh, I like the siblings idea! :D I actually had that (only it was twins) in a similar story I was working on (shy vocalist who is not-so-shy onstage trying to ask out a classmate) but I ended up scrapping that in favor of a different character.

I have a set of musical twins although when I created them the girl (guitarist) was kind of already dead and it was just the brother who had taken up her guitar along with his normal singing/poetry. Needless to say he was a depressed grump and soon enough just became a character for art.

I like where we're going with this though (and how we already have other characters to set down into their little world). Would you like to hash out some more concrete details over smail?

I haven't used sMail in forever, goodness. I'm open to using any form on IM, as well~ But yeah I guess that would work... I'll send you what I have about my girl, though obviously things like age and location and stuff can be changed if need be.

Well I only actually roleplay over email (and like my first post states I don't use IMs) but it might be easier to just shoot a few smails back and forth to plot details out :)

Oh, I should've seen that, sorry! Email is fine, but sMail is a little clunky, I find. It's fine for plotting, though.

Yeah smails get long pretty quick and there's all the scode and messed up formatting and things but it's nice when you just need a little bit of typing done xD

What you look for in a roleplay partner seems dead on with my own fancies and weaknesses. I'm pretty sure we've crossed paths on the forums before — or at least seen each other's one x one searches — but it was never at the right time. One of us was busy, or something. However, after taking a short hiatus from roleplaying, I'm ready to get back on the horse and I think it would be awesome to start a roleplay with you.

A few things caught my eye. I must say, I've never actually tried F//, for reasons I can't explain since I have nothing against it and have actually been in a few lesbian relationships myself. However! (Before I get too off subject there...) I've had a mild craving for something inspired by this short comic. I love characters who defy their gender stereotypes and I think it might be the right concept to draw me in for that first F// roleplay. So I thought I'd mention that, encase it piqued your interest! If not, s'all good. I'm a long time fan of M// and it forever holds the place of favorite gender pairing in roleplays for me. Plus I have some other ideas in mind. I saw that one of the pairings you were interested in was athlete a x athelete b, and it reminded me that I've always been a curious about what fun might lie in doing a roleplay where two athletic souls meet during the olympics. I don't know if you've heard what goes on behind the scenes in the olympic village, but it sounds pretty amusing. Then perhaps it could continue with some drama, and of course them trying to keep together a friendship / relationship long distance, between their busy-body schedules. Showing up at each other's events... etc. I actually have a pre-existing character who might work for that. Who I last used in a suicidal x innocent bystander roleplay, actually... which happens to be another scenario on your list.

Anywho! Once you get me going I'm full of ideas, and as long as you're still looking for new partners, I'm sure we could work something out that we're both ecstatic about! I also roleplay primarily over email, so that would be no problem at all.

I can't say that I'm all that interested in a roleplay involving either anthro characters (although I see that you've claimed there are some you can make fully human) or based around already developed characters really. I care a lot more about the motifs and themes and parallels and character creation, a story, than picking a predefined box and trying to mash people to fit into whatever ideas we want to do. Silliness isn't originally human nor is she really a major criminal at heart so I couldn't see myself being interested in pursuing a roleplay where I'm molding your character into something she's not for entertainment, sorry.

Also I'm going to have to smail you because we need to stop fangirling over our ideas and actually start our roleplay because oh god I can't wait for Mitch and Edin to hate each other and then destroy each other's life and for them to end up a homeless drunk/or another dead body and stuff.

I think you actually commented me last time saying we should roleplay when you got free time? But umm yes. I love you, just saying. In part because you showed me that amazing comic/art in part because I'm a word/rambly reading addict and in part because just yes.

I can't say I've ever read Princess Princess but the name reminds me of a webcomic artist who was starting an indie game (originally named Princess Princess) called Princess Panic. He wrote Girly and Dr. Vul-something or other and he's basically a lesbian comic writer. I'm glad I did take the time to read that though because the comic was great. I'll be honest I've only tried femslash a few times and it never really went over well. I have a problem with attracting all the self inserts and the people who can only play females and therefore suck it up and play f// because nobody wants to play their prince charming. I obviously don't think we'll have that problem. I'll say right now though whether we do m// or f// if the roleplay itself doesn't work out we can always create a different roleplay with the other gender pairing and try again ❤️.

As for the Princess Princess idea itself, I'm not too fond of much fantasy/historical settings, honestly, maybe it's because I suck at history but if you weren't interested in taking the princess idea and you wanted to just mess around with some of the themes from the webcomic I'd love to have some quirky females who defy their gender roles and things like that.

Along with the athlete pairing I wasn't thinking Olympics exactly (I don't have tv so I never watch that stuff but now I'm curious about what is going on backstage here), more like competitors via different schools, or different state/county teams, but I think maybe mixing that with the Olympics idea could work. I also had to laugh because when I originally started craving the pairing it was because I pictured a certain ex-gymnast going back into practice later in college and the whole reason he quite was because of a struggle with anorexia and a nearly fatal incident. Obviously he wasn't suicidal but to consider going back into the sport after never really recovering from growth stunt or eating habits seems pretty risky in itself. Then again I've recently found myself attracted to all sporty characters (even though I'm that ginger who pales in the sun) from soccer to basketball to swimming to hockey.

So umm yeah if you want to like start spitting out ideas back and for over one or the other or something I can smail you my email?

I'll be honest— my Olympics viewing experience consists of 90% watching the divers hanging out in the hot tub in their speedos, but there was a highly amusing article last year about what goes down between events.

Anywho! That all sounds awesome and I cannot brain at the moment to save m' life (need food, ahhh) but I'll smail you and we can chat more about possible RP subjcets. Oh, and I'm always open to trying something different if what we decide on isn't as great as we thought it would be. I try to encourage that with my partners. It's so hard to find people that have the same expectations and preferences as you, so I tend to try 'n' hold on to them when I find 'em, haha.
