this is my first shy post on those boards :)

I'm from Germany and even though I registered and created my first pet a couple of months ago, I just started playing yesterday. I'm still a bit confused, but slowly I'm starting to get a clue. Guess the most difficult thing for me is that this game is a bit different from the pet game I usually play, but I think I'm already getting attached. The pets here are really pretty and the option of dressing up the human avatar seems to be really fun!

Well, I guess I need some plans on how to spend my time here. First of all I would like to paint Mithy Glacier. Nightside, who I got from the pound, is supposed to keep his color for now. Any idea what to do to Jackal Pup? I put my ideas in the poll, but I can't decide. Then I think outlining some characteristics for them might also be a nice thing. And collecting plushies or beanbags? I'm still a bit lost xD

Anyway, I'm happy to be here for now! Also I hope I didn't mess up with the poll...

Can I actually ask questions here since I have this thread anyway or do I need to go to the questions-board? I was wondering what those masks I find around every three clicks mean. Furthermore, I put my pets into the resort, shouldn't they be fed there? Because they're still hungry... Far too many confusions - being a newbe is embarrassing xD

Hi there! Welcome (back) to Subeta. xD

Your pets will take a while to be fed, the different tiers denote how many times an hour they're fed and played with, so it will take about an hour to register that they're actually fed and happy. :)

The masks are to put on, and go to Shadowglen, and refresh. There you'll antagonize a zombie and get infected with one of this years' zombie strains. However, that won't work for you now, because you're infected with the Baker's Kiss strain, that you got from the Bake Shop. Check out the Love Epidemic forum to see what's going to happen! The two stickied threads will guide you through the plot.

You fell right into a plot! When wearing one of the masks floating around, you can get an infection in Shadowglen, which will turn you into an undead. But I can see you already have the bakers kiss, which is also one of the diseases you can get. So unfortunately, you can't get any of the diseases from shadowglen now because you already have the other one. But the good part is that you can participate in the plot now =) There's a nice guide Here.

As for the resort, I think pets will get fed, but with the cheaper options it will just take a bit longer.

It is. :D It shouldn't take you long to catch up, and when you get to the battling portion of the plot, go to the Battle Forum. There are threads there to help you beat the opponents, they're designed so that even a starter pet with no training can beat them. :)

: Ha ha, so far I didn't even figure out that there is something like battling here xD Thought training was just for the job agency. Seem to be a lot of things I didn't find out so far...

About the battle segment: I'm a newbie as well and had a very tough time getting through it, especially having no time to train hourly (I'm probably too late here but if you haven't gotten that far yet, then you can read on if you wish) Each of the foes is vulnerable to only one element. Took me a good hour of frustration to figure that one out. They also specialize in a certain element, so it's at least easier to defend against them. I had a lot of amulets in my armory depending on which one I was facing. That kept me free from a lot of damage. Also, I taught my fighting pet a specific spell (reading for alchemy points and scrolls to learn spells) of the foe's weak element. The pattern went pretty much like this: SPELL + DEFENDING AMULET + OFFENSIVE ELEMENTAL WEAPON for each round. It may take a while, but I eventually beat all four of them. Hopefully that helps! But if there was another thread that helped more, then I'm sorry I couldn't help XD

Welcome! Nice to see you here :) A good point to start is always Riverside Valley where you can find the Donation Corner (get a free item every five minutes) and the Free Food supply. If you want sP, do quests and play Matlal's Jewels and Random. Concerning the plot battles, there's a very nice thread by in the Battle forums, it helped me a lot, too, and she describes it way easier than crack_weasel up there, sorry buddy ^^ Hope this helps you, feel free to ask anything.
