Ok. I realize the chances of me finding this song are slim. I heard it in a store. Pretty sure it was the Muzak station thing that everyplace has. I didn't catch any of the lyrics because I was with a friend who would not shut up for one second -_- lol

*The vocalist is male. It starts off with random synth-outerspacey noises. It then turns into a pop-rock type of song (think Coldplay, One Republic, etc). It's really up-beat.

I'm pretty sure it's current. I don't listen to the radio a lot, so it could be a regularly played song that I just haven't heard again. It was really catchy, and I have it stuck in my head. I hate it when this happens XD

It wasn't it, but that Sam Sparrow song is really good! There's a band called M83 that uses...strange spacey sounds in their songs, sounded a bit like them so I'll check out some of their songs. Thank you so much for the guesses :D

Maybe Second Chance by Liam Finn? I worked at grocery store that used that stupid Muzak station and that's the only song I can think of that remotely sounds like what you described.

Aww thanks, but they weren't it. I think I'm going to throw in the towel on this one XD The last time this happened to me I heard the song 3 years later on a radio station and found out what it was. It may take me a few years, but I'll find it one day! Sorry to drive anyone nuts with me :P
