From experience I know this can help a lot, just by me doing it, so would it be alright to encourage a group of people to go after one item every day?

I know things like quests and recycle beast are supposed to help balance these items but I have seen a lot of debate recently about how they are not.

I can not say for certain, but it doesn't appear to be anything in the rules prohibiting it.

I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed -- it's not so much encouraging the "inflation" of prices as providing people with information on what items are undervalued.
