You will get it back when you beat him 1 time. But I don't think your pet is strong enough yet :( Some of my pets are ~800 stats and I don't think they can beat

I don't know if this still works or not... But you steal his Soul-R-Flare and use it every turn - it blocks 6 icons. Then you only need to worry about defending Light, Fire and Water. I think you still need more HP though. I will try with my weaker pets

Soul-R-Flare only blocks one of 6 icon types when you steal it and use it against him now.

Anyway, a few things to be noted about this challenger:

  1. His favorite icon type is dark, so use some sort of dark defense at all times (cobalt eternal scrolls can help if you don't have anything permanent).
  2. Unless you can steal/blast all three of his Soul-R-Flares, it will be best to attack with water/fire/light icons. Weapons like blunderbuss, lightbulb nunchucks, or some legendary combos are good for this.
  3. When you run out of OPB blocking scrolls, divine denizhen might be good for lessening his damage.
  4. Don't bother healing or freezing or blessing. They are all disabled.
  5. It is recommended that your pet is at least high end tier 7 before attempting.

Thanks for the info :)

If you were using the Lantern as a weapon I have one you can borrow until you beat him. I am not using it, no loss for me. Happy to wait a year :)

It takes time to get your pets stronger. Patience and training help a lot. Boosting helps as well. Fight all the opponents you can 10x hoard your experience points then spend them to train your pet, use boosters when you can and yes do battle quests and take on the foes you can beat. I'm sure in time your pet will be stronger and able to take on the harder challengers. Good luck.

, battle quest and train as much as you can... my pet was T3 on early January and now he is nearT10. Don't give up! Trainning and Battle quest get sadly longer and longer to see the effect, but at your stage you can still get better in matter of month.

, tier 7 took me a bit more then a month I think, tier 8 took me more of less 2 months, but all the ones before took me a month. But still you can see your pet getting stronger even if you didn't take a tier. Tier 9 will take me about (and maybe more) then 3 months, but I started to manually train 4 of the 5 sessions that I could get a day and bad luck in rewards and I kinda stopped doing my BQ each day because I pass less time here then before (real life busy and lag on subeta).

I havent taken them on yet either, but plan to and Im tier 8, so will see, but another piece of advice, do the graveyard quests to get the mage amulets, and turn them in to the mage in shadowglen for a chance for the book stat boosters, they help too!
