You still have it :P It didn't break forever, just for the rest of the battle because it's a once per battle item.

I think the ring is once-per-battle, so it's supposed to break after one use in a given battle. But you should still have it when the battle's over. :)

According to this, the One Ring is a once-per-battle item. I'm not a battle, but it didn't break permanently, as best I can tell.
