This has been suggested and as far as I know, mostly been shot down for the most part each time. It's just not financially feasible, especially when one considers that subeta would likely have to hire a company to do so and that would cost money, money that may or may not be returned in the first place. There's also the issue that if they make it for android, they'd also have to make sure it was completely cross-compatible, an issue that many developers in general have with android actually. There is a mobile version of subeta though, and I can usually access it fine on my cell phone, and personally I'd be more for subeta upgrading their mobile version and making it easier to access than having a completely new cell phone app that may or may not generate enough income in the first place back to subeta.

There's so many different android phones out there, that for the most, in many cases, what may work on one android phone/device, may not even work well or at all on another.

app

and another one suggesting it from last year.

I'm pretty sure that I read that the new version of the website will have a better mobile version.

And a good mobile site is just as good as an app. It's almost the same for the Subeta users. And a mobile website is less likely to make the poor developers desperate.

And still sticking to the point I made here.

Short version:

  • creating an app for both ios and all the android phones make developers cry, don't do it. (bloody screen resolutions and so much more)
  • Making an app themselves costs way too much precious time of the programmers. (And if they never made an app before, it's not exactly something you learn in 5 minutes)
  • Hiring someone else to make the app costs insane amounts of money.
  • An app won't necessary mean subeta will get more users/more incoming. It mostly means a lot time and money goes out and isn't sure to come back in (Would be a pretty risky business move).

I understand the developer costs of making a full app, but why not a supporting app? For example, you could make a land specific to the phone. It would have a few games and basically would be a super mini subeta.
