My Phoenix Quill did not make me regain my health when I used it against Daemon. This has occurred several times before whilst battling other opponents. I thought the Phoenix Quill was supposed to give you all your health back when you used it??

Sure, it will. However, some challengers have healing disabled when you fight them. Daemon being one of them, I'm afraid. :)

Thank you for letting me know that. Daemon and I tied in that fight,, but now I am forewarned. Is there anything I could use to beat him instead of just tying?

What tier are you? Do you use a freezer? It's hard to answer your question without knowing what you're currently using to tie with him.

I am currently only tier 4, my health is currently 444 (Daemon's is 1350) I use an Icy Freezing Rod of Doom and also Rainbow Quill. My other default weapons are: Ultima Plus Tag, Shrine of Appolonia, Replica Minotaur Knocker, Mystical Star Shuriken and Item Hunter Quill. I also usually hit him with Regenerating and Revivifying Pylonic and Forgerous Pylonic.

That's a very decent set you have there for tier 4! ;O What about scrolls? Are you using any?

Forgerous is a really bad pylonic. You're actually better off using a dark ____ potion. Better yet, reverberating and salvonic do more damage than either. I forgot what icons daemon blocks, I'll have to check that now. edit: Okay, he can block all of them. xD Reverberating also defends against light. I'd substitute forgerous with reverberating. Add salvonic too. Have a bunch of dark ___ potions equipped in case you run out of pylonics and the battle's still going.

. Yes I regularly use the Cobalt Eternal and Divine Denizhen. My good friend bonita gave me a lot of advice on my set. I will equip the pylonics you mentioned straight away.

Yay you got scrolls covered as well. Great! c: Also consider negating pylonic. It's more expensive than most of the others, but it does block everything.

Looking back at your set, you should have one more bomb besides the shuriken (like the v-nuke). There are also better attacking weapons than the item hunter quill like the gear theme crossbow.

Can you equip more than one bomb? I had tried to equip two of the shuriken but it would not allow me to. Also can I use the gear theme crossbow in other tiers, or just tier 4? Currently I am saving for a Terra Focujin Scroll and either the Saggi Blade or the Eternal or Reborn Wand of Doom. Which would you recommend?

You can't equip two of the same bomb (edit: that goes for a lot of weapons except scrolls and some potions like dark ___ potions, check your armory and hover over the weapon, it should say if it is limit 1 equipped or not :)). I didn't realize the crossbow was over 2mil so I wouldn't recommend spending sp on it given it's use is limited to the lower tiers. ;l V-nuke does 31 icons of damage and it's only 200k, so I'm sure if you freeze daemon first round and bomb with the shuriken and v-nuke the second round AND use those pylonics/potions, you'll get a win on him. :)

Oh boy, I'm only a tier 6 battler, so I'm probably not the best person to give advice on weapons like Eternal and Saggi Blade, but from what I read, Eternal and other legendaries are not useful compared to others and aren't worth it besides looking snazzy haha. So I'd focus on getting the reborn wand, combining it with the ice, and you'll be set for tiers 6 and 7. Reborn wand by itself is very weak, so if you're not after combining it with its ice counterpart, don't bother with it. Focujin scroll is great if you can get it for an affordable price. Right now, ingredient prices are kind of crazy.

Well, I just purchased the v-nuke so we shall see how Daemon likes that! and I will remove the crossbow from my WL. Does it matter which dark potions I use? And what about shards?

I hope it works! :) You should consider battling him during battle quests if you're worried about getting a tie / lose record for your pet. For Daemon, it doesn't matter as he doesn't block anything in particular. Shards block a good chunk of one icon and since daemon uses a couple of types, I say you're better off using pylonics and potions.

Also, I edited about weapons. Apparently, not each weapon has a limit of 1 equipped as I thought, oops. Just check out your armory and hover over the individual weapon to see if it has something about a limit.

This weapon guide is fabulous, I highly recommend it for info on weapons, potions, and scrolls :)

One last thing... if you don't mind researching yourself, this pet page compiles all tier 4 weapons (as of ... last year, the owner isn't active right now, so the info might be wrong, but I don't think much has changed in one year besides decreasing most full blockers from full to some high number like 50 or 75 which doesn't really concern lower tiers all that much anyway). It's great to go through it and see what weapons are cheap for what they do. That way you can avoid saving up for something that is inflated or expensive when you got a relatively good alternative, especially at lower tiers when upgrading to the next is bound to give you better options. :)

There are also other pet pages with all the OTHER tiers haha. So it's kind of engrossing to go through it all but it's totally worth it because the weapons guide (while very awesome) gives you the best and sometimes the best means helluva lot expensive. There are cheaper options out there. Just gotta dig around those pet pages! Which means fun, right? ;) Hehe. I loooove battling when it comes to strategy, so I'm right there with you!
