The three are a trio of books (companion novels and sequels, written by Kristin Cashore.
The feel of the books are really Hunger Gamesy, so I'm surprised almost no one has heard of them before.
Basically, in Graceling, some people are graced, which is basically a superpower. Now they can be really dumb, like being an excellent chef, or really useful, like epic surviving skills.
In Fire, there is a girl named Fire who is a monster. basically in her land, there are the same animals that there are here, but they are a different color. Like green lions. But Fire is considered REALLY attractive to men because of her uniqueness and beauty. I really can't say much more without spoiling, but Fire and Graceling are companion novels. I personally read Graceling first, then Fire.
Then there's Bitterblue. It is a sequel to Graceling, and a companion to Fire. I haven't gotten the chance to read it yet but it looks awesome.
Has anyone out there read it, and want to discuss it with me? : )
