If you're at all interested in a renascence era fantasy (with magic) then you might enjoy Litharia. We're very active and have a pretty good, small-ish community (it says we have 140 members but that's only because we make new accounts for each character, we're really not that massive ^^; ) and it has a lot of user made content. Anyway, I hope you like it and if you don't, I hope you can find a site you like! I know looking can get pretty aggravating. >3<

The idea behind charchat is interesting, I wonder how it works out for characters from eras where the Internet doesn't exist though X3

Yep! I'm Eph. =3 trying to get Charchat back on its feet. It used to be really active, but drama between two members drove everyone away. Rather sad because the concept is wonderful.

Yeah! That is a dilema, huh? I'm playing Link from Legend of Zelda on there and think he was just warped to the future. xD Though you could say they are communicating by a different means, such as telepathically, and it appears as text. Or something.

Oops I forgot to answer. =p I'm Ephphatha. Great to see you there! Charchat A was the original. We had basically no rules and it was more for adults who wanted to be treated like adults. It didn't work out though because that whole drama could have been prevented if there was a rule against harassment and other such things. We (me and Citizenbot) are now working to bring it back with Charchat B, and we won't put up with drama this time (people banned from B can go back to A).

A steampunk themed creature bonding roleplay, similar to the style of the Dragons of Pern roleplay sites. Only this is much more relaxed. I use to be very active on a Harry Potter RP called beyond stone walls . The community has shrunk quite a bit and things have slowed down, but the quality of the active posters is phenomenal. I have contemplated going back to RP (although I can't fully do it due to responsibilities IRL), but if I would it would be to BSW.
